  1. I saw it... at work in Suitland lol Nothing at home. This winter sucks ass, with the exception of about 48 hours between January 12-14 and a few hours in December.
  2. Not sure if @RodneyS had noticed this, but for DCA, the 10.3" recorded from 1/12-14 this year would make #7 on the list of top 3-day snowfalls, per their criteria (i.e. snowfall must have occurred on all three days). This would be on the second chart, not the first one that lists top snowfalls overall. https://www.weather.gov/lwx/winter_storm-pr#TopDaySnowfall
  3. Yeah its like 2/21/15- these setups just don't work for us. My seasonal totals are actually not that much more than 16/17- both were "one-and-done" winters. Though I think I preferred 16/17 to this winter because (for once) we stole everyone's snow.
  4. Poor Calvert and St. Mary’s, were the only ones on this side without a WSW. :-(
  5. Saturday's storm is ours IMHO- if we get this it'll be 3 of the last 5 President's Day weekends had snow IMBY.
  6. Mine have slowly but steadily been coming up since late January- it’s weird. Even the arctic blast late in the month didn’t stop them.
  7. It’s actually snowing good here now, hopefully it’s enough to get me on the board for February (which is all I wanted).
  8. It was part of the reason we originally created this thread back in the day. It's been a common feature this week now lol Start at where Anne Arundel meets Calvert and just draw a straight line running west to east- nothing below that gets any snow.
  9. I got nothing overnight. I think our next chance will be sometime in February- rest of the month looks like it’s the northern tier’s time in my opinion.
  10. Before the move I lived in Glen Burnie all my life, so 2010 and all the classic HECS (2003, 1996, etc). I experienced up there. January 2000 was huge in southern MD too wasn’t it?
  11. I moved from Glen Burnie to Prince Frederick in December 2013.
  12. Final total: 8.0". This is the 2nd biggest storm since I've moved here (HECS 2016, when 15.5" fell, is #1). Snowboard measurements listed below: 2.3" (12am, 1/13) 3.6" (8:15am, 1/13) 0.2" (2:15pm, 1/13) 1.7" (11pm, 1/13) 0.2" (7am, 1/14)
  13. Storm total (so far): 7.8" Had a lot of fun sledding with the kids today and making our annual snowman. Every year since the kids have been born we've managed at least one WSW event each year to build one.
  14. Snow just gets heavier and heavier- double digits are definitely on the table here.
  15. Heaviest snow of the storm here now. Snowboard measurement is due again tonight. One thing I’ve learned about southern MD - we usually fumble the opening play but we know how to close!
  16. Back to snow here- Always Be Closing. Afternoon measurement increases storm total to 6.1”. Need another 1.3” to make this my 2nd biggest storm since moving here.
  17. Temp is 33- not due for another official measurement until this afternoon but it looks like we’re in auto-refresh mode (i.e. it’s snowing lightly at about the rate its melting/compacting).
  18. Second official measurement: 5.9” Temperature: 32 Still snowing
  19. First official 6-hour measurement: 2.3" Temp: 31 LWX now has me mixing with sleet and rain tomorrow before finishing out as snow- we'll see how much (if any) that cuts down on the final total.
  20. Temp has been holding steady at 32. Parts of the roads and the sidewalks are beginning to cave. It’s been a wet snow here and not the fine powder I was expecting (I prefer wet snow anyway!) Unofficial measurement was 0.8”. I’ll take my first official one at midnight if I’m still awake.
  21. It’s reverse psychology- I have to make a panic post to kickstart the storms here.
  22. Nothing here. I’ll stand behind my panic room post made yesterday for IMBY until proven otherwise (hopefully later tonight).
