  1. This might be another one to track at BWI- most number of 70+ degree highs for February (which is also the most for any winter month as well). They are currently at three, with many more chances coming up.
  2. I'm issuing a top ten hottest February on record watch for BWI. Mean reversion for February 2015 lol
  3. Is the snow hole phenomena over the DC/Balt metro region and northern MD just bad luck or actually a feature of La Ninas? Cause this looks a lot like 2010/11. I don't know if we've ever seen similar outcomes in previous La Ninas.
  4. Another record high today for BWI at 72, previous record was 70 in 1965.
  5. We should add Caroline County to this thread too just so that we can have C.A.P.E. as a full-time member.
  6. Yeah this was a low hanging fruit record at BWI too- appears to be the lowest. Although a high of 72 would break or tie on many other days in February too so it's still an impressive record.
  7. Welp the BWI record just got BTFO. 70 so far, previous record was 64 in 1904.
  8. Since President's Day last year literally every storm system has had the regions covered by this thread as a jackpot. It's like an extended payback for 13-14. I hope we're done though cause if we reel any more in the rest of the forum might come after us with pitchforks.
  9. 1.8" total here. I love the wet snow that sticks to all the trees- reminds me of the March 4 event last year. Attached is a picture of the woods in my backyard.
  10. We might be reeling this one in too! That strip of good snow on the models just needs to be a little further south.
  11. To me the 18z GFS kinda looks like a screwjob for us, but we probably deserve it at this point.
  12. Are you AlexD who used to post here or someone else? Can't keep track of name changes lol
  13. It's 70 out and three days ago I was sled riding with my oldest son in full winter gear. Is this real life? Snowpack is long gone, you beach people still have any?
  14. LOL we might be reeling another one in, this time from the north.
  15. Cloudy and colder than forecast today so I've held onto my snowpack for yet another day. The weekend seems to be trending better for northern MD but I don't know if we'll get anything. LWX has a chance of rain and snow for me Saturday, Saturday night and Sunday.
  16. The trouble is Nina winters aren't usually back-loaded and it looks like we're about to burn through the next week or two. Of course I'm always ready for more, but if we're one-and-done I'm ok with that too. Good thing is I held on to all my snowpack today and likely will tomorrow too before the big melt starting Tuesday onwards.
  17. This thread is magic- have you guys thought about all the thread specials we've reeled in the last two years? President's Day 2015, President's Day 2016, 4/9/16, and now this.
  18. A pretty sunset to finish it off. Final total was still 6.5". If I get at least one 6+" storm I consider the winter a win, especially where I'm at. Can't believe we've done it four years in a row IMBY!
  19. Still snowing- my last official measurement was 6.5". If we crack the 7" mark this will be my biggest storm since moving here besides the HECS last year. What an overperformer!
  20. Wow congrats to all of you on the other side of the bay! Snow is picking up here again- if we can get the WSW to verify I consider it a win!
  21. First official measurement is 3.8". Still snowing lightly but sun is poking through clouds.
