  1. Holy sh*t that warning is amazing- Salisbury is a snow town now. Please post videos and pics!
  2. If there was ever any argument as to why this thread exists, simply look at the latest page of meltdowns on the discussion thread.
  3. We prepaid with 13/14, so we should be good for a few more years. :-)
  4. @csnavywx or anyone else- what are your thoughts on Southern MD impacts? This LWX map reminds me a lot of where we sat 48 hours out before 1/7/17. I was forecasted 1-2 but wound up with 6.5". Wondering if another big event is potentially on the table.
  5. No I still read- trust me I vastly prefer this thread to the main discussion thread. We seem to have lost some people this year though. :-(
  6. Dec 29-30, 2017? Since the main thread is reminiscing, I'll bump this. It's been two years. I'm not sure if the poll still works after the board update though. 1/7/17 is an honorable mention for IMBY
  7. I’m admittedly not smart enough to understand every potential system this week, so anyone want to break it down for the regions covered by this thread? It would be appreciated!
  8. Oldest was feeling better so we all went outside- we managed to build a snowman with only one inch of snow! This was actually a lot easier than the storm last January since that one was all powder. He just rolled a snowball around in the front yard until it got big enough lol
  9. I feel so bad for my oldest (he's five). He was so excited last night. Then he woke up to this sh*t and now he's getting a sore throat too.
  10. I'm glad we have a red tagger from down here now! What happened to @snowdude?
  11. LWX cancelled the WSW for everyone but St Mary’s. My forecast is down to 2-4” now.
  12. Congrats to you guys over on the other side! @SOMDweather did St Mary’s get any accumulation at all at any point?
  13. I’m so excited- I have waited eight long years for a December storm!
  14. Based on this updated LWX map I'd have to assume St. Mary's (and possibly Calvert) will be upgraded to WSW later this evening.
  15. I went too low for SBY in the snowfall contest- Salisbury is clearly a snow town now.
  16. We've gotta be into some kind of long-term December futility record for this decade at the airports, but I haven't checked. I just want some snow in December- I'm not even asking for a 2009, I just want a goddamn climo 2-4" in December at this point!
  17. Last summer was near-normal until late July, which kicked off the blowtorch that basically lasted until May this year (with a brief interruption in March). But I agree- this summer, while above-average temp-wise, hasn't been impressive in the Big Heat dept.
  18. April finished 60.3 at BWI, which was 2nd hottest. The hottest was 1941 at 60.4, so we just missed it by a tenth of a degree! 4th hottest January-April, here's the top four: 1) 1921: 47.3 2) 2012: 47.2 3) 1949: 47.0 4) 2017: 46.9
  19. Something interesting I noticed: starting with 2009, every April at BWI has broken or tied at least one record high or high minimum. This might be a top ten hottest April too. Record high watch for this Saturday. I wonder where the year will rank so far after this month is over (I promise I won't screw it up this time! lol)
  20. Yikes- I rechecked and it appears I made a mistake in the spreadsheet. Yeah, BWI is currently ranked 10th hottest. Thanks for the heads up.
