Going to be some huge snow departures in the upper Midwest to start December. The nao will help keep us cool but for them it’s been all pac flow

Question will be how strong the wave will be as it moves east into the favorable phases. Currently, all the warm water is in p4/5. If it is a weak wave the effects of those cooler phases might be muted some.

I think you just repeated what I posted lol. I’m not debating that it won’t get cold/blocky next week. I'm just saying that going into December things might get hostile if blocking were to break down

His post is referring to what happens after thanksgiving as we get into December. It’s very much up for debate on what happens if the blocking breaks down.

We are well past peak now here in Metuchen with the foliage. The past week of cool temps with numerous nights of frost made up for the warm October.

Awesome! Like last November, it was a cold first week then hit 70 during the second week of the month. I would love some late season stripe bass fishing in a t shirt again

OBS and nowcast 9PM tonight-8A Wednesday for a general 2-5" rain, isolated 8" possible. 40-60 kt damaging wind likely Tuesday-early Wednesday. Focus for damaging wind and heaviest rain is the I95 corridor to the coasts. Power outages esp CT LI.
