  1. NAM is going ctrl-c/ctrl-v from the current storm. Potentially going to be a historically large area with significant snow depths
  2. We are getting close to nowcast time, but the NAM has shifted NW a tick as well
  3. Another quality post. I am convinced you could get 2 feet only on your property and still find a reason to complain. All of the guidance has bumped NW starting overnight. The NAM was throwing more precip NW spreading out the gradient, but it wasn’t an outlier in terms of the evolution. If it had a Madison special, then it’s an outlier. A 20 mile difference in snow is within a reasonable margin of error is in line with other guidance.
  4. Going to be some wicked variation across Cook Co
  5. Going weenie and thinking 3-4” here. Obviously banking on the NW trend
  6. As someone who works in law enforcement... but enough politics, your input is valued and appreciated. Especially when I wake up to posts about solid NW trends. another tick or two and most of LOT needs a watch
  7. Trend is our friend. WAGONS NORTH! Went from a DAB yesterday to being in a solid advisory event now. LES is going to be epic. We will be unmoderated for awhile while Hoosier blacks out in joy.
  8. Hard pressed to remember a more top notch stretch with regards to the “big 3” of snow, cold, and snow cover duration. The pattern could flip hard tomorrow and we still wouldn’t see grass for a week plus.
  9. Fresh powder to add to the pack. 19” now, and sunny blue skies. Full blown tundra
  10. That’s like comparing if the blind guy or the armless guy is better at darts. They have both been abysmal in their own way.
  11. Getting about 3-4 weeks away from me looking for warm ups and spring
  12. TORD showing that it should be bumping for awhile downtown
  13. Yeah it’s pretty damn wintry out here. Had at least 1” of snow depth since 12/29/20.
  14. This would have me pushing 25-26"" of snow depth. Sitting at 18" now. Big Timin'
  15. Deep frost depth plus above average snowcover will be nasty once we get that first 40 degree Rainer
