Can confirm. Looks really pretty outside. Not sticking to most surfaces though the temps are starting to come down a bit. Currently 35.5°F / DP 28.5°F. -
Still quite warm up in these parts, but I see frozen precip on the weather map all around. Virga? Either way, hopefully it'll still be coming down in the morning.

My wife always laughs when I'm checking the models and say out loud "Hurderps" and "HURRRR". Glad I'm not the only one! Looking like we'll at least get snow TV tomorrow. Love it.

Looks like our high today was 52°F. It's been mostly cloudy all afternoon, and quite gusty! Our highest gust reach almost 20mph around 2pm but it's been tapering off since. Some light rain showers are moving through the area as well. Feels kinda spring-like. Don't like it.

Was really pretty, but didn't amount to anything. It's bright and sunny out right now.

And just like that, it's done. Roads are fine. I mean, standing water is going to freeze up, but we had like maybe 10 minutes of spotty sleet and then I could see clear sky peaking through. Good luck and stay safe everyone else though.

It's basically stopped raining here for the moment. Have just about 2.1" for the whole event.

I had a dog grooming appointment at Petsmart that got cancelled on account of them closing early today, and a friend in Phoenixville said that her son's school has early dismissal today. So maybe?

I'm at 1.9" of rain so far. I'm going to have a legit skating rink in my back yard when the freeze hits. Currently 38°F, down from a high of 55. Look at that crash, almost 20° in ~1.5 hours!

Why can't both be correct? Feb is our best shot for winter weather. And also, Nina winters just suck for us. It's hit or miss. Heck, I have over 1.5" of rain and it's 55°F right now. Winter's over, right? Models consistently show digital snow 10 days out. But Climo! Feh. This is a good discussion though. FWIW, I also hope you're wrong, @The Iceman.

Probably anomalous. Wind is dead calm at the Reading Airport. Local microclimates are impacting what local readings we have. Still, I think it might be telling to see what our temps are around midnight tonight.

uh... Temp has been steady at 42-43°F since about noon, and is now starting to trend downward: That's a 2° difference from current forecast. Wind looks like it has also shifted from southerly to NE. This doesn't seem to jive with us hitting near a forecasted high of 52° by midnight. Keeping an eye on this.

Radarscope is actually tracking a cell heading towards Allentown. We're up to .7" here, and there is still plenty of moisture to come, look at the precip shield on radar! Man, if we were only 10-15°F cooler...

I dunno, I've seen at least three large flocks at altitude trucking north since around Christmas. It struck me as weird, but whatever triggers their return must have happened. I'm thinking it has to be temperature down south wherever they winter over. Global weirding and all that.

There are still guardrails here and there with giant dents in them from all the trees that fell during that storm. That was wild.

Took a sick day today. Work can get along just fine without me for a day, and driving out there is nasty right now. Got 1/3 the way in and tapped out; apparently, reflective road markings haven't been in the budget for a while up here. Greasy roads + invisible lane markings + rain and heavy fog + reckless drivers + semis on the turnpike = yeah that's a big fat NOPE from me.

Well dang. I guess it really is time to fire up the genny and make sure we're fueled up just in case. This looks like it could either be nothing, or it could be very serious. At least it's an a weekend where none of us have to especially be anywhere else. (I'm off Friday)

Looks like about 1.5" here. Annoyingly, it's just enough to warrant the snow shovel--I tried blowing it off the driveway with a leaf blower but it wouldn't shift the bulk of it.
