Hit just above 90 here (shocking, I know!) but now back down to 89 as the clouds are rolling back in.

Switched from mostly clouds to full sun here. Starting to hot up--there's going to be plenty of daytime heating prior to this evening's forecasted frontal passage. It's nasty out there, happy to be WFH today.

Indoctrination, much? Lots to unpack here for sure. Glad you escaped. Really looking forward to getting shafted by today's late afternoon's fake news thunderstorms. Gonna be epic.

Nope, complete whiff. As in, there was an actual mini-gust front followed by maybe 5 drops. It was nice and breezy for a while though.

Interesting study. I'd like to see the data on ≥80° and also dewpoints ≥70°, as well as a list and location of the 14 stations. Is this data freely available? Also what is the significance of those specific periods? I don't want to say the data looks cherry-picked, but it seems to me that the math would be more representative if you compared, say, 1895-1957 and then 1957 to present. Or maybe throw some trend lines in there. Regardless, that's pretty neat, thanks for posting.

Ok just had a red blob move over me, .44" in the gauge now. Brings my August total to 1.45". Last year by this point we had ~4.5".

My car had 40 drops on it this morning but still nothing in the gauge. Still high and dry since 8/9.

Zero rain up here so far. So much for rain and t-storms all night.

Made it to 91.5°F today, but as everyone is well aware, humidity is down so it's not so bad. Perfectly acceptable mid-August weather in SE PA as far as I'm concerened. Now how's about we get some precip one of these days?

Similar results here: 1.01" which all fell on 3 separate days. We hit 87 here today but it was delightfully breezy most of the day with DP's only in the mid 50's. I'm dreading a repeat of last year where we had a run of 90+ later in August (the last IMBY recording of >90 being 8/30/21), but we shall see. It'd be nice to have a "normal" late summer pattern change again after how many years now of it just being hot all the way into October. (It was 84 on my last birthday on 10/15/21. Especially don't want a repeat of that.)

Interesting retrograding "storms" on radar. The view from my front house cam is pretty impressive: (ignore the reflection of the curtains in the middle, camera is inside behind glass) Looking NW-ish, storms usually move left-to-right. This is moving the opposite.

Made it to 89.7°F albeit with much reduced DP (high of 61.5) and a nice breeze this evening.

Damn fine sleeping weather. Which I am finally going to go experience. Night all~

Yeah it got noticeably nicer working outside towards around 4pm this afternoon at my job site. Still hot, but much dryer with a breeze. Looking forward to enjoying this stretch. Last year though we had a hot/humid stretch at the end of August, so hopefully we don't repeat that. Currently 78 with a DP of 59.7. A nice reprieve.

89.4°F for the high here today. Spent 8 days above 90. Last year we had 4 more days above 90 IMBY from 8/24 through 8/27. Here's hoping we don't get a repeat.

I think I'm hearing our first cicada of the season.

Outflow boundary visible on radar at least. Made it to .77".

Yikes! Some relief is on the way I think. I just got .75" in like 15 minutes here, and it's cooled down to 78 or so.
