Last night on Chincoteague for a much needed mental health break. Rented a house on the Bay on the Northern end of the island. Have enjoyed some nice warm weather. Some beautiful sunsets and skies on fire. Finished off the week with a brought in shellfish feast of which there was nothing left.

Out vacationing on Chincoteague this week. Thanks to online schooling we can do a get away in October. And renting a house to stay distanced. After the fog burned off around noon turned into a an absolutely beautiful day for October 20th. Headed out to the beach around 3. Never thought it would be near 70 on Assateague. The Miss J's were wading in the ocean and we took a nice long walk up the beach. Thought we were going to get a nice sunset but the marine layer rolled on in. We are on the bay side up the neck.

So I am late to the game and have never done this before. But besides my love of cooking I also have a piece of paper that says I can charge more for my art. The youngest Miss J asked me to do Inktober with her this year. First day prompt was Fish.

Sun back out over here. 78/76 it really did not cool off at all after all the rain. Currently sitting at .46".

I can say my area while currently under rain missed out on the super big stuff.

81/76 here with thunder. My area seems to be in a dry slot for now. Opened the back door and OMG so muggy.

That Tornado warned storm is to my East. Storm coming over from VA to my west is warned.

It would be nice to get at least a decent storm. Would help me justify the stabbing eye ball pain I had all day yesterday from pressure in my head.

Had a quick passing shower sun starting to come back now.

Completely covered in thick clouds over here now. No sun coming through.

77/74 here with sun powering through the cloud deck. Tropical feeling out.

Had a cell go up to my north came through here with blowing rain and some thunder and lightning. Got .22" in about 5 min as it moved out pretty quick to my south.

Yep it is. Dry over here all day. Still under the watch but really not expecting anything. All to the East today. Will turn on my Thunderstorm Pandora station and fade to sleep.

2.13" in my backyard currently. Still raining but not pouring. Flood warning just issued for my area in SW Frederick Co.

This reminds me of where I grew up in NW Ohio.

Holy cow! Winds are insane behind that line. Had about 30 min of blue sky then clouds rolled in and stuff is blowing all over the place. Temp back up to 71 after going down to 68 when the storms came through.

Nice cool off behind the storms. May salvage a nice day out of it.

What just went through here was meh at best. Couple claps of thunder and put me over 1" for the day. Looks like the energy is on both ends not so much the middle. Bright blue skies behind.

Line has just hit here. Wind driven rain and occasional thunder. Just had a nice crack scared the cat sitting next to the window.

Clouded back up over here due to that straggling line coming into Brunswick ahead of the line out over 81.

Listening to WYPR and they just broke in with an Emergency Management alert and playing the weather radio information.

Just got back from Lovettesville. Pony had a vet appt this morning. Right at the end of the appt it started pouring. Drove home in a downpour most of the way. Now home and the sun is starting to break through. Temp is 66 and sitting at .98" so far for the day.

I am heading over to Lovettsville this morning. The vet is coming out for Spring shots and care visits. Appt is at 9:30. Looking at radar this line may have pushed through by then. But am I reading this correctly that the severe potential will be behind the line with developing storms?
