You can blame me... this is my standard reply to snow when I don't want it.

I do have planned Irish Lamb and Potato Stew for Saturday in the crock pot.

So snow, what should I bake/cook.

For all those who like my winter storm food posts. Here is dinner. Bacon mushroom asparagus quiche.

6.75” in my back yard. Getting sleet now. Went over to the Frederick Scanner FB page and wow what a mess going on all over the county. A snow plow/salt truck has overturned on 70E. When the plows overturn just stay off the roads.

Currently 5" for me. Holding steady at 28.5 deg

Soup is ready!

The folks on Frederick scanner cannot keep up with all the accidents in Frederick Co. Those that have ventured out have reported horrible road conditions county wide. A fire truck tanker responding to an accident slid off of 70 and is on it side in the median.

Thanks for asking. I have had a rough year that ended this week in finally realizing I was dealing with months long anxiety that culminated in a Panic attack the start of this week. Finally on the road to getting it under control and cooking helps. Along with my husbands game his company has been working on being released yesterday we all need family time and today fits the bill.

Chicken noodle soup is being made!

It just may be. Roads have caved up here. If not soup baking including a bacon, asparagus, mushroom quiche for dinner.

Fell back to sleep after the school announcement. Just woke to a healthy dose of snow coming down up here.

I don’t doubt their reasons it is still surprising as FCPS has always done a wait and see approach. Usually a 2 hr delay with a re-evaualation. My HS kid just got up and I told her no school but to still feed the cats. My MS kid was like why no school, her sister told her snow. She replied what snow?

To my surprise and everyone else FCPS MD just closed.

Ended up with 2.10” over here in SE Frederick. When that line started to form it dumped right over me for about 10 min. Wind was blowing up against the back of the house. Could hear it in the front room.

Please for the love of all things can we get a pattern change. I have not been on much this summer due to frequent sinus pressure headaches this summer/fall. And nothing touches them. Imagine your head is a balloon that someone keeps putting air into and it has no where to go. Between the pressure in my ears and the pain in my gums I am seriously crying Uncle!!

Drove home from Round Hill VA through that line. On back roads with too many trees. Crossed over into MD and there was a lot of flooding running across 340 just East of Jefferson. The road I take to my house was dicey to say the least. Weather station at my house is 1.60”. Not a lot of lightning over in VA but MD was lit up when I crossed the 340 bridge. Now my husband is going to attempt to get home on 270.

Did not want to banter up the Tropics thread so will do it here. I know there are some that are disappointed in the current forecast of MD not getting walloped with rain and wind. But I for one am liking the track more and more. My daughter is showing at the PG Equestrian Center on Saturday in the outdoor covered arena. And while they have said that they can and will if needed move all classes into the indoor it will make for an exceptionally long day. So as Equestrians show in the rain we can handle that and a bit of wind. I just don't want to get stuck down there with a kid, pony and no stall as we are trailering in. That being said I you need an activity for this weekend come and check out the MD Horse and Pony Show. My daughter will be showing in the afternoon.

At some point this summer I hope to surface out from headache/migraine central.

Line came through here not as robust. Wind and ended up with .51”. Now watching the light show to my East.
