Would the mortality rate really be much lower if everyone who was truly infected kept interacting in public as normal? I know chicken egg theory but I think any conversation about numbers and % needs to be framed in the social distancing quarantine vs not doing those things. My opinion of course...I really want this to end soon I'm tired of trying to juggle milk supply daily to my customers...phones ringing all day from Hannaford to Stop and Shop Giant Harris Teeter Publix etc. The volume of orders is through the roof
Interesting statement from Dr. Birx that there are a million tests at Abbott labs that are in backlog because the testing machines are down. I want the country back open sooner rather than later but dang let's know how many and where and get this thing totally contained first and then come back strong!
Also saw that less than 0.5% of Virginians have been tested. Really not sure how we contain this beast when we truly don't know how many have it and where. I know there is some sort of sick love affair with the death total but honestly if we don't stop the spread the death total will just continue to accumulate and I don't give a rats ass how fast that happens it will just continue. If we are ok with that then I guess open this bad boy up May 1st...that will make Phineas happy
Apologies if this was discussed or even disputed but the model everyone is using saying the predictions of total deaths keep going down some of the metrics used are that it assumes a Wuhan style lockdown until the end of May to achieve those numbers. Call me skeptical but I'm not sure that's what is happening in the USA
I worked in grocery stores in some form from 83-2014 I currently work for a manufacturer that sells organic milk, cheese, eggs etc. The demand has been insane!!
it won't stick to the pavement because it has been so warm, plus the sun angle is rough...one positive is if it happens it will do so prior to moving the clocks forward so we will have that benefit
On Tuesday I fly to Anaheim for the week...it's my first long flight since my back surgery...should I be worried more about my back or some runny nose and cough sitting in my general vicinity? Gahhhhh….
