  1. 2-3" radar estimated just to your south. That stuff is not a perfect science but its a good view of where the heavy stuff fell. https://www.iweathernet.com/total-rainfall-map-24-hours-to-72-hours
  2. HRRR continues to bring the goods for the eastern half of the LSV into Sunday. We may actually see some street like flooding issues over there especially just to the east of the valley.
  3. The people who spent 300 a night on a 350 sq foot, sterile hotel room are having said meltdown. Sucks....
  4. For us a lot depends on time of day. 64 is fine if we are up and doing things but at night that is a little chilly to get out from the under the covers. I have my doors wide open right now. Free A/C Y'all! Maytown Electric COOP is going to suffer a dent in incoming funds this weekend.
  5. Clean off the rain board and take fresh measurements...eliminates compaction issues.
  6. Quite a bit lower over there...surprising. We were over an inch at 10PM last night. That 1/2" blast this AM really pushed us up there.
  7. I personally think the eastern luv gets Quite a bit more rain through the weekend. Some 3" totals.
  8. Shorts go back into storage again. Pants weekend. Just tacked on a half inch...up to 1 and three quarters.
  9. Penndot is a big sun angle fan. Why work when mother nature can do it for you.
  10. A/C is off here until Monday if not Tuesday. When the house gets down to 64 the heater is going to kick in.
  11. Its 63 over here. You must have your front door open and cooling the neighborhood.
  12. Nam sort of saves tomorrow a bit in the LSV, as to steady rain, but just destroys the Jersey shore. Inside pursuits will be the weekend thing down there. Does not keep MDT in the 40's anymore (over the weekend). Looks like it is punting Sunday in the LSV. Euro is bad Monday in the LSV. Hard to plan. Was hoping to have a family outdoor thing Monday.
  13. Drought buster in full swing through much of the LSV now. Large area of 1 3/4 to 2" on the Nam...and that is just tonight. Lollipops of over 2"
  14. Agreed. I heard volcano and thought of that report I just read but did not think of the suffering...
  15. God Bless 'Murica. Memorial Day 2021. 2019-2020. The year punt became acceptable weather jargon.
  16. Thus is the weather game. The stuff we "root for" hurts others including vacations and lives. Its a tug and pull thing with me.
  17. This snow seems a bit ashy and dry.....
  18. https://www.cnn.com/2021/05/28/africa/drc-goma-volcano-eruption-intl/index.html
  19. Except for the damage to our farmers, a summer of 1816 would be interesting to live though. Cape May had frost 5 days in a row in June. Frost in South VA in August.
  20. It definitely is more believable with extreme possibilities than the too steady Euro. The Euro must have some type of built in procedure to limit run to run changes as when it is wrong it just keeps going to the well with its wrongness. The GFS flips the script every 6-12 hours if needed. As far as summer returning June 6/7th, I am afraid we would be asking too much for this extended late winter/spring weather to continue too far into June.
  21. Right or wrong the GFS (new or old) supplies us fodder for discussion.
  22. I remember that time for you. It had initially showed the rain up here but kept contracting and most only affected you down there. You know this but I would not worry too much about day 8-9 GFS forecasts.
