  1. Sweet QPF map 7 days out. As depicted on the EC, not a forecast, the ridge influence starts to break down on Monday (would be close for the LSV as to whether Monday is still hot or not but still hot on the 0Z run) small vorts rotate into the area the rest of the week with the excessive heat gone Tuesday. Going to be quite dry by mid week next week so really rooting on the rain for selfish reasons.
  2. Yep, 58 here. Close to as good as it gets for a summer starting temp. Mid 80's over this way is going to feel warm later today.
  3. Then you are wanting the dry weather. Dp's get a little high tomorrow. 65-68. Not too shabby in the shade.
  4. The Eastern folks stole one from us. But it was not too hot at least. Another decent early summer day. Upper 50's tonight hopefully. Windows open. Hope the early week rains come to fruition.
  5. Got to 80 here today. First day in June not below Normal...a couple degrees over. Might tickle 90 this weekend as the mini heatwave continues to be lessened in intensity but thinking more 86-88 tomorrow outside the urban heat islands (re anywhere in Harrisburg including MDT). Still too hot. LOL
  6. Sounds like the Pennsylvania Dutch have it out for you.
  7. Lancaster and York Counties are just stealing the show this week. 1 hour and 72 hour maps. Deep red about 3".
  8. That darn shrew(sbury) is getting rain again today. The rain capital of York.
  9. Gives your grass a good start in your absence.
  10. Looks like the "Harrisburg/Hershey area" (just south of the 'Burg) is going to be the winner with the WGAL line. LOL. WGAL's future radar spanked the HRRR. LOL.
  11. LOL, I bet it pained you to put the word rain before storm...you just just wanted to say storm and hope for some June flakes.
  12. Bold is unfortunate unless kidding. I think your boss should have some sort of wash setup, the is large enough for you, to run your truck through. But I totally agree with you in that if I take my car out even when the streets are just wet its just like it was never washed. Frustrating sometimes.
  13. WGAL Future radar scored the coup yesterday in recognizing that the rain was not over for much of the southern and western LSV after the first line...says a robust but skinny line is coming just after lunch.
  14. Piqued my curiosity so went back to 2000 and looked June 1-15. It happened in 2008 with 4 days with a high mark of 94. Only thing else close was 2017 when it was 3 days with a high water mark of 96. What became evident is the highs the GFS predicts next weekend are MUCH more common. I would say about half the Junes saw a high between 60-65 some day between June 1 and June 15.
  15. The heat island there can do it based on experience. Just glad the 95-100 temps appears to be diminishing as to a possibility and rain chances are right back on the docket all next week.
  16. Yea, looking at the upper air pattern the ridge never really sets up. We are on the far western periphery of it this weekend then rain chances (mostly Western half of PA at that point) start back up on Monday as the ridge moves even father east. The CMC is slowly stepping down off is extremes.
  17. GFS says to pull out the light coats next weekend for the central part of the state. Will see if this is another of its extreme missteps or if it is going to keep rolling pattern wise.
  18. Welp, if AM models are on their game, unlike yesterday most of the LSV will see the rain form to their east. Unfortunate if it plays out like that. South of route 30 really scored after the sun went down yesterday.
  19. Still lots of rain to your south west so maybe you get lucky.
  20. Parts of Lanco are getting yet another round. Seems south of Training though.
  21. I saw that on the simulated radar screen. Some 3-4" totals. Uncomfortably close to Ellicott City at first quick glance. Cascade is always nice to go to! Decent liquor store there.
  22. That last line was our savior. Good call by the WGAL future radar knowing the rain was not done albeit it a bit behind what really happened. LOL. Never looked at that before. Sort of a Northern LSV afternoon and Southern LSV evening. New cells boiling up near Gettysburg right now.
