I did not compare GFS runs but its definitely less deep with the next cold shot especially out your way. The lowest you hit (on the panel) over the next 10 days is 40.

You may have the first frost of the area then...though I suspect Cashtown has it as well this Am with a 36/35 reading

There should be fog forming with the 8 degree difference between you and Cap City. LOL. (Edit, Cap City dropped 4 degrees at 7AM)

Head on over to Cap City where it is 52 right now! 38 here. 45 at MDT. 43 at LNS. THV still down.

MDT should be officially recording a below normal day today. Low was 2 degrees above normal and high was 3 degrees below normal. Close to another one tomorrow if they get into the low 40's tonight.

Caught between a Canadian High and a somewhat cutoff low to our South East. Our own personal trough.

Plus, looking at the GFS, there is not "winter around the corner" weather either. 2 days this week in the low 70's and some other possibly mild days in the longer range. There are below average days coming just not "winter weather". With that said, if MDT is not in the low 40's tomorrow Am, I am going to be aggravated.

I fear we see little to no rain for 7 plus days. Maybe a chance Friday?

The fans started doing the wave while he laid on the turf...it got so bad the Steelers themselves came out on the field and were doing arms down motions to try and stop them. Not throwing bottles like Tenn. but still not real classy. It made the front page of several sports sites. I look at it as an indication of our very self interested society we seem to live in today.

42 here now but no where near as cold as the other side of the mountain where there are mid 30's, Its 35-36 degrees within 45 min of MDT right now.

I think most people associated with colleges are waking up this AM happy they have no affiliation with the University of Tennessee.

Near record cold for the MDT "Area" in a week on the GFS

MDT should be close today. HIA in full effect like usual. 3-5 degrees warmer than all the other reporting stations nearby. This excludes Cap City which is always higher than anyone else it seems. MDT coming in higher than BWI. Its currently 48 degrees at Dulles and 55 at MDT. Sheesh.
