  1. You have taken the spirt of Superstorms post and flipped it around to hotness. LOL
  2. I am going to be impressed with Pillow regardless! :-). I need to visit some day but a long ride from these parts. It's up in what some call "the boonies".
  3. Yea, seems to be warming up from the south east today. I have moved to posting those smaller maps because the large Wundermaps take too long to load right now.
  4. Please report all outlying areas temps to our newsroom for historical recording keeping. LOL. But yes. 57 now though.
  5. From Rouzerville, USA...this is WBUB... your nonsense station ...8686 on your radio dial. Good morning, our engineer is Paweather . In the news at 10:00am, a very warm day is bearing down on the Lower Susquehanna Valley. It's 56 degrees on the square...
  6. Had to rush home from school to see it. Nerd alert for me! LOL.
  7. Personal life Bolaris has one daughter, Reina, who he had with Tiffany McElroy, a former reporter. Bolaris is known in the Philadelphia media for being a "ladies man." He has been in relationships with Lauren Hart, Jane Robelot and Nicole Miller.[20] In 2010, while in Miami, Bolaris was drugged and charged for $43,000 on his American Express card. Bolaris contacted the FBI, who connected Bolaris' story to a crime ring run by a bar owner. 17 arrests were made in connection with the crime ring. The story was the subject of investigations on ABC’s 20/20 and American Greed.[21][22]
  8. For Accuweather and Philly, I just remember. Kyw...Newsradio....1060.....with a background jingle. Then some typing noises, the temp downtown as well as the time. At that point and on the 15 min, if a storm was near, you would get a live update from the Accuweather met on call. Interesting history of that station. It started in Chicago and moved to Philly. That is pretty unique.
  9. When I was there is was a lot of King Elliott Abrams, Joe Bastardi and a few others. Elliot always loved to douse the flame of weenies but pointing out how warm it was in NC, as storms came up the coast, as a warning that Philly was going to switch.
  10. He is out of Met now. Got into a profession where he can make $$$$ in real estate. He basically copied what Jim from The Office did.
  11. My dad was in the military so I grew up all over. A lot in Central PA though. Did not move to Philly until my 20's. Herb was still there when I moved to Philly but he retired not long after my move. I remember John Bolaris. Philly ran him out on a rail after a bad storm prediction. In Philly you either win or move on.
  12. I do remember Harrisburg always being the warmest or second warmest city in the state even when I lived in Philly. Of course the 'Burg is cooler in certain situations but during heat waves and such it could be 96 in Philly and LNS and the 'Burg is punching 100. I think Philly officially holds the highest average yearly temp though they have plenty of HIA there as well.
  13. The King better get up off the mattress and start defending itself or we are going to put this debate to bed and name Pillow the new top dog.
  14. Everyone beats Thomasville now since they have been down for weeks. I just noticed LNS coming in with a 46 8AM Ob! That is pretty chilly. Ob says Fog.
  15. Its the most above and below average location in PA. A combo of the warmest and coolest towns in the state. Harrisford....or Bradburg. Puts Coffin Rock to shame.
  16. Yea, contribute to the group effort! I do not have the fancy equipment you do or I would be. I used my neighbors station to watch historical stuff.
  17. 46 here right now. Low of 44. HRRR suggest similar highs to yesterday. Mid 70's for the higher folks. Upper 60's to low 70's for the cooler.
  18. MU is acting a bit weird. They have gone from 76 to 73 back up to 74 then 75 (on their web site) in the last 30 min.
  19. MDT has been stuck at 74 for hours. Definitely hit a cap today as heating is about done. It made it to 69 here but heading down now. The wind made it feel much cooler. (edit I see they had an inter-hour creep up to 75)
  20. Euro is much more south (ala GFS) with the SLP.
  21. It just did not hold to the 7 straight days under average the GFS had. All due to its 4-5 state low positioning difference.
