  1. The Capitol beltway gets 5-10 of these per summer That is how you end up with 10 more inches of precip than areas down here. Some areas near the Cumberland/Franklin line have almost 3" in the last 5 days.
  2. An area 15 miles to the north of me has had 2" of rain in the last 5-6 days which was what I was referring to. They cannot predict stuff like that.
  3. Their issue is that during the summer they will be wrong, for the NE, almost every time because they smooth out their maps. Convection is not smooth. Some areas of the LSV have over 2" on the last 5-6 days now.
  4. ITT's gig is to post the woefully inadequate WPC long range QPF maps. Posting those is like a Luka to Lively lob for rain as to poster.
  5. Does that mean your next rain is in 45 days or Aug 6th give or take? Go for the gusto and say Labor day!
  6. MDT has 99 on their 5 min readings so they may have made 100, we shall see.
  7. How are you at playing a flute? Are you afraid of snakes? 105? My outside non digital therm says 117 right now as the sun is doing its deed!
  8. Heard chatter that police are being called to save people in flooded cars in Harrisburg.
  9. It is a weekly summer (if not more often) tradition. You call no rain, and it comes in droves right on your doorstep. Do you also charm cobras out of pots?
  10. Harrisburg might get a drenching. Summer has officially started now.....Harrisdburg getting rain while most others are dry. LOL.
  11. Wavering on whether I should get game 7 tickets and play Hooky from work. LOL. (If Necessary). My Heat Wave highs so far below. Looking forward to an upper 70's Monday over here! Just need rain which is hard to come by. Already tired of AM Ninja watering. 87, 88, 87, 87 90, 96
  12. Just scanned through the NWS sites. MDT: 98 LNS: 97 (but reached 98 or 99 earlier) CXY: 98 THV: 97 HGR: 97 MUI: 98 AOO: 95 IPT: 95 (but reached 96 before)
  13. Car them was moving between 99 and 101 all through Adams and York county today (after 1:30PM) , dropped to 95 on Blue Ridge Summit and never got above 96 the whole way to Rou. 96 right now at Rou. A top 10 temp since I returned in 2018. The highest is still 102 on July 19th, 2020. ABC News 27 with a news flash 'This is the hottest it can get in Harrisburg.'
