Not sure about panic but there is this. Any area in D1 and above is in a drought regardless of yearly surplus. MDT is officially experiencing a drought right now. True S Central PA a severe drought which may be expanded to Extreme tomorrow.

The way I figure, if it is lower than 3", going over it is not going to hurt it anyway. Makes it easier not to lose track of where one how mowed already. I wonder if we will ever have a mid to late summer mow of thick grass this year. Maybe not. I actually have not had one since 2018.
