At least that is more in line with what happened. I do not know how they rectified it though. Nothing on their FB about it. I saw .44 originally.

Sunday was the hottest day in recorded history, according to a climate tracking agency that has monitored temperatures since the mid-1900s. Around a hundred cities across the US are experiencing their hottest start to summer on record and swaths of southern Europe have been grappling with triple-digit temperatures. Global average temperatures typically peak during the Northern Hemisphere summer, between late June and early August. They also fluctuate based on natural factors: seasons, large-scale climate patterns and solar activity — and on unnatural factors: the pollution from human activity, including the burning of fossil fuels, which is chiefly driving the planet’s temperature steadily upward.

No Heat Wave per DT? MU must not have seen the new weather feature, the New Big Trought, when making his forecast.

On this date in 1888, the very first month MDT has record of temps, it reached 85. Ironic. The next day it reached 88. Not sure how everyone survived that one. LOL A rainy Wed morning for some. Light rain and 67 here.

I am just dismayed that 89 is now a heat wave. Is anything above Normal now a heat wave? MDT bagged an 88 today which is one AN. Call out the news!

Yea, that gets to be everyday fare down there. If you send your daughter to UF she is probably going to be showing off like that.

Ending up with 10-15 days BN at MDT for July is blunting the heat a bit for me. Just about half the month was very hot and much of the rest was BN if you extrapolate out his forecast. The mean temp will be well AN because the hot days were hotter than the non-hot days. MDT has not had a July low in the 50's since 2018 yet MU is teasing it.

Sort of like picking up A1A in Mount Pocono to see a nice beach drive?

Did someone miss going to beach and decide to name their town after it?

Yea, they are not good on the low and high end sometimes. If you find out what HGR is going to do, let me know. I posted an NWS graphic admitting the entire area got 2-5" yet. I think they will actually break a record for the day.

Another good example of how bad those maps are in extreme circumstances. The NWS reports up to 5" and the map says 2-3.
