  1. We have less than 1/10 of an inch. The remarkable number is since the start of May we have less than 3".
  2. Thanks, and @MAG5035 as well. Its like we are in the NBA Covid bubble where it pertains to rain.
  3. We are in D1 right now regardless of what the US service says. Some people may start having well problems soon though I do not know where underground water level actually is. I just see the corn and grass dying. Some farmers corns stalks have bent over and died especially around the outside edges of their fields. At this point nothing short of a tropical storm like event is going to bring us out of it fully. A 5" gully washer will only account for .5 to 1" of water down in the soil.
  4. HRRR really cuts it off. Downtown Harrisburg is not over 1" on it but Harrisburg does get appreciable rains.
  5. The GFS already has more qpf for us by this Monday, on the 18Z run, than the entire 12Z run combined.
  6. I am posting more this summer as well. Extreme weather draws me out and this drought has been a doozy. Worse than the one we had last year now. Do not know exactly where Mag lives but near him has been expanded into D1. I realize these maps are regional based but my specific area is easily a D1 at this point pushing D2. If the 12Z GFS is right we we have doubt digit deficits for the year by months end. Hopefully not.
  7. I will be able to tell who gets lawn love by the grass stains. A good old fashioned deformation band on the 18z Nam. We get one of those and Cash will be golden. They find his locale every time. How much for Philly? 0 on the Nam. Dry-slotted!
  8. Yea, not buying into anything past this weekend but not thinking we get much this weekend. Just talked to the guy who sprays our yard and he is shutting down for the next 1-2 months. Cannot spray grass that is dormant and brown.
  9. 384 map. All the rain in the Blue for S Central PA is hope and pray showers. Seems maybe 1.5" or less is a better way to say it when I look at it closeup Either way a disaster.
  10. Not really for us. Mostly east of the Susq. Euro shows basically no rain (other than anecdotal stuff) West of the Susq out to just before South Western PA for over a week from today. GFS shows us getting a inch or less of rain through July 25th.
  11. Yea you have had more rain in the last several days than I have had in many months. LOL. Still only between 2 and 3" since the start of May. Definitely one of the most severe droughts I have ever been part of. Only thing worse was in Florida.
  12. All the Meso's destroy that Western PA rain before it has a chance to get to the middle and eastern parts of the state.
  13. You probably never break free unless it rains and skies clear afterwards.
  14. Sun just broke out for the first time. Up to 84. Trying to get to 90 :-). Not sure MDT gets there though still being at 80.
  15. When I get tired of listening to the money flowing out of my wallet I turn the thermostat up and sweat just to keep it off for a while. I call it the itsnottrainingtime maneuver.
