What bad luck. A snowy and snow covered January

although i read that the effects of MJO have a 2 week lag...so maybe we feel the phase 5 lag in 2 weeks smh

@psuhoffman instead of talking about how the MJO can hurt us..maybe it can actually help us in time for Feb. We are almost out of phase 5. Phase 6 will be cold for us except for a rain event..and then right into 7 where it looks like more amplitude than originally thought. If we fail, i dont think we can blame the MJO this time

you just saw 2 feet at Killington.....if i drive to see snow, i add that to my yearly total. I used to go to Elimira, NY alot when i was single so even in crappy winters...i would end up with above average snow. I count snow by how much i see...not how much falls in my backyard

i see a ridge in a west and a trough in the east lol. Do you want the oppostite? The ridge is in a good place too

well fisherman usually come up empty....so thats probably why your personality is really good for the peaks and valley of DC winters

we would of been better off not having this PV split. We have not seen cold from it...we have not seen snow from it except for a fluke that gave you flurries. What has it given us? The split occured in late December and January has been warm. The next 10 days are gonna be cold but we get some cold every winter no matter what. I

the OP Gfs just refuses to give us snow. They ruined the model....it used to show blizzards during the summer for us
