I think its depressing honestly because of the false alarms of the weeklies. I remember a few weeks ago you said the weekliies were the weeniest you had ever seen in your life. There was so much build up that anything less than epic wasnt good enough. And now that we are here, we arent seeing much to get excited. PSU has one nail in the coffin...etc. We were led astray(our own doing but still)

ive seen so many modeled super bowl storms in the past 20 years. So far....ive managed to go to every superbowl party that weekend--or guests have come to ours with no issue

i stopped looking at it. Its only right with cutters and rain. It hasnt been right for a snow event since PD feb 2003

does anyone know the key to forecasting a -NAO? Seems like everyone guesses and gets it wrong. is there a forecasting methodology to the -NAO. I have heard stuff like SST's,etc but no has it down

dude--if we get a rainstorm on FEb 5...it would be one of the most epic long range forecasting busts....not one run of the weeklies or CFS led us to believe that that could even be possible

Yea 3 inches is basically no snow. Bob was showing 6-7 inches just a few days ago..I guess those weeklies maps with 40 inches may be a bit off lol
