Although we're suffering through endless summer and tropical moistness, we should, in theory, be only weeks away from the first freeze in our region (minus DCA, which may never have a freeze again).

Over 2” over the last 2 days. Almost 6” for the month. Endless rainforest summer continues.

Wow wild night. Storms woke me up after 1 and kept me up for awhile. Nearby PWS says 1” total. Nearly constant t&l for over an hour.

That's my point.  It's been D10+ for the last D10+.

Every time the long range progs show some signs of real fall air getting here, it gets pushed to the right inevitably.  The summer that won't end.

GFS keeps teasing Canadian high pressure over us D10+, but it isn’t getting nearer with time. 

This has got to be one of the worst and most persistent weather patterns I can recall.

What was it like to live in a place without like 6” of precipitable water above you at all times??!
