    Blew up literally a mile or so to my east, after sliding just to my north by a fraction of a mile. Not a drop here, however the dew point dropped considerably after it passed.

    I haven’t heard thunder in what feels like a month. It’s only rained (>0.01”) on 9 calendar days so far in July-August. Long Island is basically Aruba, with slightly cooler nights sometimes.

    89 here as well, this makes #8. 12 days at/above 90. That number feels low given the plethora of 88/89 degree days as well as the heat index which passes 90 quite regularly.

    Second sun shower of the day, third rainfall of the day. Only 0.07” to show for it. Edit: It’s literally raining to my right with nothing to my left. Half of my body is getting hit with more rain drops than the other half.

    Pouring here. We really needed this. Edit: And it’s over just as quickly as it started. Only received 0.05”.

    59.7 was the low here, coolest since June 22nd (58.6). And it’s already 15 degrees warmer at 75 rn.

    No rain but the dew point plunged from the lower 70’s to the low 60’s.

    0.60” here, very much needed. We’d probably need another 13-inch deluge or a slow moving tropical cyclone to catch up with the western half of the metro.

    I know Frontier has flights in/out of ISP now, but I doubt that’s the reason. Very weird.

    Hearing flights to JFK overhead, which isn’t normal. One flight to LGA was diverted to ISP.

    Had a quick little dump, lasted only about 5-10 seconds but it gave me 0.01”. Line still hasn’t reached me yet, hoping for something of substance, starting to feel like a humid desert out here.

    0.02” fell this morning, first precipitation of the month. Only 0.03” in the last 15 days, driest 2 week period on record for my PWS. 85/70 the split here, currently 79.

    90/70 the split here. Down to 84 with clouds now, feeling small raindrops falling intermittently, heavy shower just missed me to the west (again). Only 0.01” in the last 12 days.

    Looks like it’ll miss me to the west, so predictable. At this point I’ll take anything, even the 0.01” I received the other day added up to over half a gallon in my makeshift rain collection system (a large planter with a plugged drainage hole underneath a leaky gutter).
