  1. That last run was not what I expected for sure. It will be interesting to see how this all plays out. Just how much is the CAD modeling off ???
  2. I agree, Robert Gamble is one of the best meteorologist in the area and a big snow wienie. He from time to time may be a bit too excited about he possibilities for the next "Big one". But hey he's human like the rest of us. Let's take this disco to banter before Mr. Burns makes us dust the erasers. 8^)
  3. Last time I checked so was weather. Still opinions that provide information good or bad. YOU missed the point.
  4. Good post Grit. We should get some shots with that forecast.
  5. Wetter than normal with near normal temps is not too bad if it works out that way.
  6. Do you have a Doctor, A financial analyst, A Stock broker? Same thing. Either way it's their $ and they wouldn't do it if it didn't give them value.
  7. There are many on this forum, including myself that have learned a great deal about forecasting from this man. His patient answers to questions over the years are among the things that have made him revered here. His knowledge of NC CAD and the nuances of the weather it creates give him few peers in that area. The other side of that to us that know some of his personal side is he is a great guy. He loves a good snowstorm as much as the rest of us wienies. As to the bolded, show me some one that has a good one over the last few years.
  8. We await your forcast with great anticipation........
  9. Shucks, I made a fantasy snow chart and everything. You guys have a good summer?
  10. I'm hoping the projected nino albeit minor, works out. Solar minimum on paper looks good though. As a kid of the 70's and 80's I'm a big fan
  11. Analogues always seem to disappoint, but those were great years and perfect follow up for last year.
  12. How much for Moncure? Specifically my chicken coup. They molt in snow.
  13. 20 to 30 sustained will cause issues
  14. I agree with downeast on this. If someone had proposed last week that we would be debating the prospect of TS winds in the Triangle from a storm that had traversed that much real estate we would have been shut down as weenies pretty quick.
  15. Yeah, I'm on the hump at the base of the Chatham county pan handle. Sure hope those winds obey that arbitrary set of county lines, lol
  16. And the eye still clearly visible.
  17. Snowgoose mentioned that earlier in the thread.
