  1. Mist. Great to see the usual areas inundated with rain, while we again are dry.
  2. Amazing. I don't have the words..... Stay safe, though. And thanks for providing these updates to us.
  3. Not just the Central Valley. This is an all-too familiar pattern setting in again.
  4. The forecast is for up to 13 feet.
  5. Well, the good news is that the pacific ocean is getting smaller by 1-inch every year. Eventually, it won't matter what PDO cycle we're in! No more PAC puke!
  6. Where was I for those winters??? None of them were good. There were some good stretches out In my part of the county where I was in '20 - 23 that I distinctly remember driving into snowless Winchester often.
  7. I think I said it back in 2016 coming off 3 consecutive AN winters..... 3 out 4 winters here are probably BN, so we were staring at 9 ratters coming down the pipe. Looks like we're getting them all in succession. '25 - 26 is our year.
  8. November means saying goodbye to any chance of 80s (at least it used to). It also means shorter days, T-day, football, Christmas, and hope of snow to come (and now no longer does). It and October are my 2 favorite months.
  9. So, you're vacationing in stephens city. Let me know if you need any recommendations.
  10. The absolute worst is the March wind. And the warm days with bare trees and no shade. I may dislike spring even more than summer.
  11. I was living in NW Frederick Co (VA). About 12 miles NW of winchester. Different climate out there than here.
  12. That Modoki Nina gave me a White Christmas and a 2F afternoon high on Dec 23. I'd take that and run over this POS nino winter. Granted, that was not in stephens city. There is no pattern, no storm that could produce snow and cold here. A Polar Vortex spinning directly over winchester wouldn't even get it below freezing here.
  13. I have no memory of that one out here. It may have been too early, but more likely we got fringed; a notable storm should've imprinted my memory. The one in October later that year sure did.
  14. This would've been a nice winter weekend if we'd have gotten forecast amounts of snow. It was cloudy enough yesterday that patches of our 1/2" mulch-topper survived the day, and full snow cover would've really bottomed out the temps last night.
