Slick drive into work this morning. Hate these little coatings on the road. Poor truck in front of me was sideways half the way down the hill on 321/421 towards TN.

Didn't see anybody else post these. Still a lot of solutions on the table.

EPS mean still a good storm. One thing we won't be lacking is moisture.

No way that low track doesn't throw more moisture up this way. Stupid model.

Also worth noting another extended period of flurries/showers for the mountain counties starting tonight.

Euro shows a day 7 3 footer. We can call this winter official.

If I had a nickel for every time I heard that...A little concerned about too much suppression for those of us in the northern mountains. Trends are definitely in the favor of SW NC imo.
These storms almost always come NW as we get closer. Don't worry.

Boone EPS. Pretty big differences in timing which is interesting to me. Mean just under 10".

Big EPS run this time. Here's hoping this holds up.

I'm selling groceries and Christmas decorations so I feel your pain.Well hope everyone that is going to the game enjoys it, I'll be listening from work where I'll be selling drugs to people, so mark me jealous.

Nobody gonna share those gorgeous maps from the 12z gfs/fv3?

12z suite showing some real potential late next week. Definitely worth watching. EPS with numerous big dogs for the mountains.

Right at an inch here in Foscoe. We're pretty protected from the wind as well so not bad out.

Solid dusting in foscoe. Nearly covered the grass. Picking up some here in Boone now. Fantastic winter day.

Coming through Boone and it's more of a freezing rain/drizzle than snow right now.

Who knows, but Ive rarely see either get a NWF forecast right since I moved here. I had a 7" in foscoe last year with a nws/ray forecast for flurries.I'm trying to get excieted but GSP gives me no accumulation and only a 20% chance.
..Little to no snow accumulation is expected attm, though near a half of an inch to an inch could not be ruled out at the higher elevations. High temperatures across the NC mountains will range from the upper 30s to mid to upper 40s.
And Ray says a dusting to an inch.
...At best, you'll see a dusting of snow with, perhaps, an inch or so at the highest elevations near the state line.
What are they missing?

0z has 7" for Boone over the duration of the run. Obviously overdone but should be a nice event regardless. Hoping for an inch or so here at the house in less-than-optimal nwf location.
