  1. So far, we’ve enjoyed a leisurely .7” here, south of Madison. However, it just started to REALLY dump on us…even my Starlink is struggling…so I think we’re finally going to actually get a good round.
  2. I think it is heading more north now, because Madison just got tornado warned. Our warning was just extended another 45 minutes but things are calming down here.
  3. Anecdotal reports of tornados going thru Monroe and Albany, WI. All I personally saw was some cloud rotation and an ill-formed funnel.
  4. Tornado warned in Green County, WI. Also, warned for 80 mph winds. Dog VERY unhappy with the thunder
  5. Unexpected 1.2” early this AM. Garden now having a happy 4th. The brisket, however, is going to be delayed.
  6. The lack of rain is getting tiresome.
  7. According to my garden rain gauge, we got 1.5” last night, brining the week’s total to 3.7”. Needed and appreciated. Also, I ate my first fresh cherry tomato of the 2025 season last evening.
  8. Nice little “normal” storm. Dropped ~.6 inches for about 2.2” in roughly 24 hours. Much appreciated.
  9. Hope we get some rain. So far, this period of storminess has disappointed
  10. Just over an inch of much-appreciated rain here. Locations less than ten miles south picked up nearly 1.8” from a SW to NE oriented line, so location mattered. Nevertheless, grass and garden will proper.
  11. Just now at 1” of rain in Green County, WI. A very nice storm in terms of rain production but my flowering crab apple snapped at its base. Bummer.
  12. Probably Evansville, WI. Credit: “Jordan”
  13. Evansville, WI, about 15 mi south of Madison. Credit: “Jared”
  14. Finished up with a little over six inches here in southern Green County, WI. A very nice storm with multiple good periods of mod-hvy snow.
  15. Snowing here. Might have 0.15” so the snow plow came by. They gotta look busy or I’m gonna wonder how that extra $1600 in taxes is being used.
  16. WWA extended westward in WI to include Madison area.
  17. T-storm warning and Big T watch here in Green County. The rain has begun in earnest.
  18. We seem to be having that siren thing…. “Freeport 2” moving northeast?
  19. At 1.8 inches of rain by 2 PM. First time I’ve seen standing water in the fields in a long time. Switched to snow w/ slushy accums. My eyeballs can’t see us getting 4-7” b/c it’s so warm but it is coming down pretty heavily so maybe after sunset things will pick up.
  20. I’m going to go with a B-. This winter had potential, and for two weeks, it was A Thing. Real, solid, Winter. But in the end, gotta admit that it was merely a pause between Fall and Spring, a tiny gap between the red leaves of Fall and the green buds of Spring.
  21. We ended up with 1.27”. Very nice, and more than I had expected.
  22. Looks like just over an inch here, from training storms moving southwest to northeast. Unfortunately, the doggo is not a fan of thunder so last night was not restful.
  23. Juda -Albany rated EF1. The track shown ends about two miles from my house, which is farther north and east. https://www.weather.gov/mkx/FebruarySevereWeather
  24. Might be three, then. There was some clear damage near Brodhead, too. A trailer park / campground was grazed, topping some trees and leaving canoes in the lower branches.
  25. Interesting—hadn’t thought about it as other than a funnel cloud. This AM, I can see that it stirred up some dust and disturbed a brush pile left from last weekend’s pruning. Or some wind did do, anyway. There were some good, strong gusts for awhile.
