    I was using snow depth maps where the s edge cut back slightly. I guess qpf max ticked s so neither of us is wrong depending on how u r looking at it.

    Actually vs 6z that ticked N and we are already seeing warmer low levels edging more N on some guidance. We know what to expect based on seasonal trends. This will be no different. Models likely overcompensated and are now going to begin adjusting N. Still think interior SE PA is a good spot for a hefty thump before flipping.

    Exactly. And since when is 1 model run considered a trend? I thought it was usually 3 consecutive....in which case the NAM is trending better as lead time lessens.

    18z RGEM destroys se pa thurs. 98% frozen. Has the look I've been thinking...heavy thump, mix, dry slot. Ok, not total destruction but a sweet hit lol

    The fact the euro is the southern outlier and given its less than stellar track record AND with the NAM being consistent with the sleet/ice look, we shouldn't write the NAM off nor the warmer solutions. It certainly has some merit in that solution.

    I honestly think this is a nice thump to mix to dry slot for most of us with rain/mixing in the usual.areas as this ticks back N. I could actually see the 12z rgem as a very realistic solution.
