  1. The Euro has a much stronger 2nd wave that gives most of the rain. The first wave is paltry still.
  2. The big dry high pressure to the NE is killing our rain chances
  3. The weekend rain is trending in the wrong direction
  4. It's a start but we need 4-6 of rain area wide to make a real impact
  5. With that big high in the NE around mid month it might squash it.
  6. 10 day precip looks paltry. No heavy rain imminent the next couple weeks unless it drastically changes.
  7. New Drought monitor is not good. Severe drought spreading into the foothills and mountains.
  8. Not a drop here. Little to no rain the next 10 days. Fire season will be fun at this rate.
  9. Euro has almost dried up the rain on Tuesday. Went from .50 to .10 and no rain afterwards in the 10 day period. Hard to believe but drought could be the story this winter.
  10. 27 confirmed deaths already. Afraid it will only climb from here.
  11. The colors here are average. It's been too dry here. In fact, the City of Marion has begun asking residents for voluntary water restrictions. Water levels are lowest they have been since 2008.
  12. Windy and dry. I expect fire danger will be increasing soon.
  13. Euro shows a strong SE Ridge through the next 10 days probably longer. Most winter outlooks I have seen have a warm December and possibly flipping in January or February to colder.
  14. We haven't had much rain in the last 6 weeks. Definitely a long below average stretch.
  15. The sun hasn't came out all day in West Asheville. Still in the mid 50's and chilly.
  16. It was a little colder than last night but less frost. Go figure
