  1. The short range Canadian is backing off moisture too, be interesting to see if the GFS and Euro follow suit
  2. Mitchell definitely doesn't do as well in these setups but makes up for it with Gulf Lows.
  3. I'm in a good cooling spot too for the foothills and had 19 the last 2 nights. Interesting little setup Monday night with the overrunning then it looks to warmup some the following week before the next cold front.
  4. The ULL is looking better for this Friday/Saturday especially for high elevation folks. If it tracks right it may be bigger than this system with a lot of moisture.
  5. I'm just dreading the 2 to 4 inches of rain in the next week. I honestly could use a few weeks of cold, dry, nw flow
  6. Models trending away from snow and cold? Preposterous!
  7. Models have seemed to trend less and less snow next week from first system and may be another heavy rain with 2nd
  8. Picked up .65 last night with another couple inches likely before the month ends. Not quite as wet as previous months but still way above average
  9. Air feels like snow today. Got a bite to it. It was 25 here this morning.
  10. I swear we have already had as many big frosts as last winter.. seems like it at least lol
  11. To be fair it was pretty cold at the end of the run and it snowed in Eastern NC
  12. Yea I'm thinking about 28 here tonight. Its already 31.
  13. I'm glad we are getting this brief cooldown because it may be weeks before we get frost or freeze again
  14. We ended up with over 4 inches of rain. The Catawba reached its highest level of 2020 at 11.6 feet making it 10th place on all time crests since the gage was installed in the 80s.
  15. Flash flooding is beginning here, luckily the rain is almost over. We have 3.7 so far.
  16. We are over 5 inches already for this month despite the dry spells. I don't think we get to 10 again but it may be close...
  17. Thats wild. Thursday will be interesting for sure
  18. Just when I think we are going to truly dry out for the first time all year, another 2-4 inches seem likely from a tropical system...
  19. 38 here, didn't see any frost but could have been some
  20. I eclipsed 10 inches again for September after .65 over the past few days.
  21. October and November are usually 2 of the driest months. Hopefully that will be the case this year. It is a bit early but it just feels that way since we haven't had a bona-fide fall in years. I remember frost here being quite common in early October.
  22. Its going to come through but it's still going to rain an inch or 2 most likely. I dont see many 30s on any of the models but im sure some of the higher elevations will get there. Doubt it's a widespread frost though the way it looks modeled
  23. The mountains took the brunt on today's run.
