  1. 10.5 here which is a little above the seasonal average. If we don't get any additional snow it would be right in the middle of the past 18 winters being the 8th snowiest. The snowiest of course was the 2009/10 winter. Of the top 8 snowiest winters, 3 of them came from mostly one storm all winter. This year, 2016 and 2018.
  2. I finished January with 10.5 snow and a monthly low of 10.2°. Snowiest January here since 2016.
  3. Ouch, that is a terrible look for western areas and its only 5 days out
  4. Euro is a swing and a miss, gives a little snow for far eastern sections
  5. The long range overall is looking warmer and warmer
  6. Snow cover got you colder than most. I'm at 15 here, pretty darn cold for 10 p.m.
  7. It looks like parts of Buncombe county got more than Banner Elk
  8. And just like that, the long range looks like a mess on the GFS
  9. If you believe the short range guidance, places like Conway, SC to Florence have the best chance of accumulating snow in NC or SC (except high mountains of course)
  10. Because it's more of a disturbance than a storm, at least for our area. I doubt any places in the Piedmont get more than 1.5 max.
  11. Most models had us getting a very quick changeover up here in the foothills yet it rained .10 here too before ending as a few flurries. Cold just doesn't make it over the mountains well. We need CAD.
  12. I think BL temps are gonna waste most of the moisture for Piedmont folks
  13. nice accumulating snow in Asheville now. Good dusting
  14. Still white rain in Asheville, just trying to stick a little now with the temperature dropping and flake size decreasing.
  15. It poured for a while here but didn't stick due to it being 35/36. Lightened up now
