  1. Yesterday evening I drove down to Montpelier and the temp on the car thermo went form 52° at exit 8 to 64° at exit 7. It was a wild swing.
  2. I fear mushrooms are going to start spouting with the .07 I've received this week.
  3. Yeah, it’s not been a rainforest by any means but we have gotten .59 this week.
  4. So I bought new irons earlier this year and I’ve done ok with them. Still need lots of work from the fairway. I seem to hit them better with a little grass underneath the ball and our fairways tend to give pretty tight lies. Late in the year I made what I consider my best golf purchase ever, a Ping G430 driver. I didn’t get a massive increase in distance but my consistency has greatly improved. It’s especially noticeable with my mishits. Don’t get me wrong, I’m still a 19-20 handicap but my driving is so much better. I sort of don’t want the season to be ending. At least it’s gone out on a beauty.
  5. T’was a beautiful night to get in what will likely be my last round of the year. Course closes Sunday.
  6. Look at the wild ride my temps have taken over the 24 hours. It was 62° when I went to bed last night.
  7. My temp has jumped from 49° to 61° I. The last 3.5 hours.
  8. I assume places are testing equipment and system capabilities but I know very little about ski area snowmaking policy.
  9. Only got down to an 11° dew here but there is a little snow left in protected areas.
  10. Not as much as Alex but it's a start.
  11. Their retention isn't as good as the east side of the Greens but they do get good snow.
  12. I’m at 1250’. I’m away from upslope zones though. It is starting to stick a little on the grill cover.
  13. Snowing here too. Not quite as hard as this. 33.9°
  14. How worried is Killington about the WC?
  15. We were out at the western edge of the eastern time zone in Ontario and the UP of Michigan back around the solstice. I loved the late sunset. I’m not a particularly early riser so it would work for me.
  16. Had to close windows due to close by skunk discharge. In other news, drought ovah!
  17. I saw that on our local PBS affiliate a few months ago. That was a great piece.
  18. Seems like every year follows a similar playbook for me. I start off thinking it’s dull or not great and then all of a sudden it like a switch is flipped and it’s brilliant.
  19. @dendrite Pawpaws in the news! https://www.sevendaysvt.com/food-drink/the-pawpaw-fruit-thrives-in-burlingtons-intervale-42068962
  20. 32.5° here. Haven’t gotten below 33-34° yet. Seems to cloud up before we get there. Not going to the Maine snowmobile show in Augusta this year. Couldn’t really justify it after such a poor year last year. I’ll miss it.
  21. My son went for a hike on Spruce Mt. in Plainfield today. It tops out just over 3000’. Was snowing there.
  22. That is what I meant. and from the pictures, it looks pretty nice.
