  1. Continued light snow alternating with dim sun. Temp is 11.6°and isn’t supposed to rise much. These are my favorite type of winter days. We do them well up here. Looks like we could get something bigger, which would kick start winter activities in areas away from the northern spine. It seems like we stay cold at least in the medium term, too which is good.
  2. 89 was near whiteout through JSpin’s neck of the woods. It blew of the travel lanes but that made it difficult to see.
  3. Went to an antique sled show in Washington, VT earlier today. The temp was about 12° and there were on and off snow showers. Pretty much as January in Northern New England should be.
  4. There is enough snow here for people to be banging around the field at the antique sled show I was at today.
  5. Last I heard there wasn’t a lot going on up there either.
  6. I keep reading this thread title a Jeter January. I’m no Sox fan but I dislike the Yankees even more.
  7. Well, some of Vermont has some snow. The ski areas along the spine are ok but you don’t have to move far to drop significantly.
  8. That's exactly what I was thinking, seasonably cold. I wish I had more snow on the ground for snowmobiling, snowshoeing etc. but it is what it is.
  9. It feels like a band often sets up shooting through the Winooski Valley gap and drops heavy stuff there and the terrain blocks it from spreading. The rate diminishes quickly in these types of events as you move away from Exit 8.
  10. This evening has been good here but nothing like you guys. Even just a few miles west in Montpelier they’ve gotten more than us. 4”-5” or so. We are maybe 3”.
  11. 33.8° and snowing. About .5-.75 of wet glop. Forecast called for mainly rain until later. Maybe this is a win?
  12. You guys are newly weds, I’m not sure if I’d be calling her that yet.
  13. @WestBabylonWeatherhad hail on Long Island.
  14. I posted this in the main banter thread also. Behind the scenes at Burlington’s National Weather Service office, home to Vermont’s spokespeople for the skies
  15. Good story about the NWS BTV office. Behind the scenes at Burlington’s National Weather Service office, home to Vermont’s spokespeople for the skies
  16. We’ve had some really strong winds here. Neighbor’s Christmas tree went rolling through my front yard like a tumbleweed.
  17. Well, at least you will always have the Je…. Oh, sorry.
  18. I’m excited if you’re excited.
  19. So by that definition, the last snowstorm we had up here last April and the first one we had this year on Thanksgiving we’re back to back as well.
