  1. Some real good bursts, almost convective or something how fast the pulses race through.
  2. SWFE style. It seems to take a real special SWFE to get widespread decent ratios.
  3. Nice stuff. 9F and steady light to at times pushing moderate snow up here at the ski area. Seems like 1.5-2” so far.
  4. Boom right off the bat... this is some heavy snow banding. Great snow growth.
  5. I could see 5-8” up in this neck of the woods once you tally in all the residual terrain light snow on Sunday. Might be tough to shut off the terrain snow for a bit. I’m thinking 3-5” initial burst and 2-3” fluffer nutter topping from -SN most of Sunday. Its frigid at -6F and highs only expected in the teens...I’m getting on the train of slightly higher ratios than climo for SWFE.
  6. It's -11F here... letting the dog out for the last time for the night. She doesn't linger outside long in the negative teens. HIE was -16F at 9pm...wow. It's f'in cold out there.
  7. There's that NAM run we were waiting for...
  8. It’s the middle of the winter, any synoptic snow should be greeted with open arms.
  9. What a widespread system.... compared to some compact ones, this has a huge swath of snow.
  10. Good event region wide in NNE it seems...cool
  11. I bet they can for sure. There's another 2" of just absolute fluff here since 4pm....up at 7.5" here and the narrow band that has been crushing Mansfield this evening is moving back north.
  12. Dude, Mansfield is getting croaked right now. This narrow band has just been smoking the mountain and even down into town.
  13. It’s snowing pretty hard right now. Full fat fluffy dendrites as the colder air starts to pour in. Upslope response is getting going.
  14. Looks like BTV has a snow depth of 7”, so they got at least that much.
  15. Just shy of a half a foot at home but still snowing and some good squalls in bound. We’ll get 6+ in a bit.
  16. Yeah I’m on the 3-5” train up here... looks like a quick burst of like a third of an inch of QPF then dry slot. I could maybe see SVT/SNH with a scattering of 5-6” amounts.
  17. Transitioned to good upslope snow... big flakes. Wind picking up. A little over 7" of fluff at the ski area.
  18. 6-7” here at the ski area. Stacked right up very fast.
  19. It is just pounding snow right now. This is probably 2"/hr. Just cotton candy falling from the sky.
  20. Yeah yesterday the models really honed in on an axis from like BTV to LCI to PWM.
  21. Yeah it’s like good snow growth snow with some residual surface warmth from the past few days. Sticking to every object, an incredibly picturesque snow.
  22. Dumping. 2-3” so far. Fluffy but pasty at 30F. Everything is pasted white, even tree trunks. 1” in past hour.
  23. Friendly advice James, if you're expectations are always high, the chance for a positive bust are very low.
  24. It’s certainly possible... there is a very cold air mass in front of it. I always worry the best lift will be below the DGZ in these events with a primary low back to the west, ripping mid level WAA further north than expected.
  25. I'd sell good ratios on any WAA SWFE style system... 7-9:1 seems to be the climo favored results from these type of events.
