Do we wake up tomorrow to some flakes flying or a wet coating on mulch/rooftops tomorrow morning from here to @alex? Some models are showing just enough of an upslope response on CAA late tonight with surface temps in the low 30s that there could be some -SHSN flying in NNE tomorrow morning. Tonight... Cloudy with a chance of rain showers. A chance of snow showers after midnight. Snow accumulation a dusting to 2 inches possible. Lows in the lower 30s. Northwest winds 15 to 20 mph. Chance of precipitation 50 percent.

This is like mountain town weather out west but for 4 months straight.

(Turns to page 8 in playbook) Its a classic case of the models seeing a snowstorm at day 8-10 but losing it in the middle range. Expect it to come back around 4 days out.

This weather is right in my wheelhouse for outdoor recreation... a little chilly for swimming but low dew 70s is ten stars all day long for anything else outside. Gonna go for a hike with the dog then maybe hit some golf balls around the backyard, ha.

Pretty sweet day. Love the long day light and 60s. Walking the dog in the upper mid-slope region, right along the conifer tree line, there's a decent amount of snow. High slopes must be real full.

Yeah that would be the safe bet. Same goes for any Day 8 record progs. If it was showing 100F at Day 8 it would be the same way...always hedge towards climo.

Top 10 day today without a doubt. Dry air mass, mild. 64F off a low of 32F. Perfect. Speaking of trough though... This is obscene for May 10th 850mb... lol.

Just all kinds of crazy in that. The fact that it hit 70F three times in March but zero in April...and on top of that the warmest temp was hit on April 7th, so early in the month when climo is climbing fast throughout the month. Wild.

It’s really pleasant out. Has that warm season feel...that’s probably from the dews in the 50s.

63/53 with partly sunny skies....feels almost hot with dews in the 50s. I’ve been getting used to those 17% RH afternoons. Sky looks convective too, some vertical development.

I am 100% certain if those progs and anomalies were reversed in the positive side, DIT would be talking non-stop about installing A/C lol.

I mean those progs are pretty cool relative to normal.... now whether anyone's skin feels that as "cold" or "chilly" or what not is another matter. I agree a sunny -5 day can still be pretty damn nice out this time of year. I'll take sunny and 52F as a win. The tune from a few in here though would be MUCH different if that was showing +5 to +10 departures. I'm pretty sure the word "torch" would be involved in that.

Today was absolutely beautiful. Mid-60s in Northern Vermont and sunshine... we take that all day long. Good diurnal range, indicative of a great day... mid-20s to mid-60s. Fantastic stuff, went for a few hour walk up an old road to 2,400ft. Doesn't get much better than this for late April with sunshine and 55-65F depending on elevation.

Yeah maybe it’s just certain summer months...I swear I remember a discussion with Tamarack about how hard it is to get 80+ at his site once the leaves are out on the trees.

Tamarack knows something about that I bet, ha.

49F and I feel like it’s almost shorts weather, lol.
