  1. What's Ginxy call it.... thumpity thump? This has been a quick-hitter but gets its business done fast.
  2. Love when it's a busy evening at the NWS WFO. Upgraded advisories/warnings. Always shocking when a meso-band moves further north than anticipated, ha. .NEAR TERM /THROUGH TUESDAY NIGHT/... As of 748 PM EDT Monday...Well its been an extremely busy evening here at the office, as we expanded the advisories north to the international border and placed central/southern cwa into winter storm warnings. Expecting storm total of 2 to 6 inches advisory and 4 to 8 inches in warnings, with many reports of 6 inches or so from Newcomb to Port Henry to Orwell to Bridport. A meso- band developed and moved further north than anticipated, causing snowfall rates of 1 to 3 inches per hour. We picked up 2.9 inches in 1 hour here at BTV during this band. Moving forward expect this initial band to lift northeast of our cwa by 02z, however, some additional lighter bands of snow will continue to impact central/southern cwa thru midnight or so. Have updated snowfall maps and qpf to match our thinking.
  3. What a night to be alive. Ripping great snow growth all the sudden. The heavy band was actually pretty small flakes. Now its big guys.
  4. J.Spin reported 2.6" in 30 minutes for a snowfall rate of 5.2" per hour That one band just made the storm worth it.
  5. Nice J.Spin! I was thinking at least 2" in a half hour with that band. BTV and MVL both reported the extremely rare M1/4 visibility as it is very tough to get those automated stations to show "under 1/4 mile" in heavy snow. Looked like MVL and MPV put up 0.17-0.22" water in that band.
  6. BTV also putting up the M1/4sm +SN obs. What a band that was. METAR KBTV 232235Z AUTO 14004KT M1/4SM +SN FZFG VV003 M01/M02 A3023 RMK P0018
  7. Eyeballing 4" out there? Cranking. Will get a measurement in a bit.
  8. Wow, the very rare <1/4sm visibility at the MVL ASOS. 0.17" water probably underreported too in the last hour at sub-freezing temps. I'm not sure when the last time I saw that observation. That's hard to get without a manned observation. KMVL 232254Z AUTO 19004KT M1/4SM +SN FZFG VV003 M01/M02 A3024 RMK AO2 SLP251 P0017 T10111022
  9. I think we just got 2" in a half hour. That was obscene. And it is still snowing +SN but not like that whiteout in the band. Definitely exceeding expectations right now.
  10. This is absolutely obscene. WOW. Might be 1/8sm? This band just rolled in like a wall of white. I'm just north of the I-89 marker that's Waterbury.
  11. That's awesome. My parents probably aren't that stoked but love when the childhood home gets a nice storm.
  12. Jesus H. Vis is really low now and 1" in 15 minutes on their snow cam. 4" per hour rate.
  13. Vis looks pretty low at Sugarbush now as that heavy band moves through. Like a snow fog. 3" there on the snow cam.
  14. It's always good for hope though. You could feel it today, Will gave it a 1 in 10 chance but still, folks need some hope these days. It had some momentum in here. Like a lottery ticket.
  15. Sub-freezing in the upper 20s with +SN at MPV... looks nice down your way! KMPV 232051Z AUTO 15006KT 1/4SM +SN FZFG VV008 M02/M04 You see the 18z NAM gave MPV 11" lol?
  16. Curious what this band will bring... very solid echos moving NE directly for this area. Wondering if there's some IP mixed in or something as those echos look too heavy for snow.
  17. Ha I was just glad you didn’t put the word throat in there.
  18. Just started up here. Living room view. Snow isn't wet at all... like a mid-winter cold snow.
  19. Snowy pretty steadily. I'd give it 1sm -SN maybe a tad under? Instantly white again out there. Didn't waste any time accumulating, ground still frozen with patchy snow cover. Hoping for 3" whitening. Snow isn't even wet though. Just winter snow. 31F.
  20. This thread needs more pics! Pad the stats.
  21. Messenger shuffle east towards the ocean!
  22. You are just smoked by all of them...no matter what STD you use, they all get your cocks.
