Nice. Yeah it was a big deal around here as the road hasn't been hit by a slide in a long time. One of those things where you see the large boulders around the base of the Notch but something you assumed happened a really, really long time ago. We are talking geological time scale type stuff, where you could certainly go a lifetime without seeing this. It does prove to everyone that while highly unlikely, it is possible to get crushed by rocks driving and hiking around in the Notch.
This photo was my favorite.... the State Trooper looking up like where the hell did this just come from? It's almost like a scene from Jurassic Park, like what could've dislodged that rock? Oh shit here comes a dinosaur through the forest.
Here's a drone shot of it, the smaller boulders made it to the road. The largest ones seemed to get hung up in the forest just before the road.
