    Yeah, I honestly was going to stay home since I was feeling lazy to make the drive but made a last minute decision at 5:30p Thursday to hit the road. Definitely glad I did. It’s been snowing all day long here with temps in the single digits (currently 5.8 degrees). You should definitely get out to Canaan for one of these…the ratios last night were easily 20-25:1.

    Horrible winter. It’ll never snow again. We wrote off January and that turned out right. Maybe we can salvage with an 1” in March.

    Yeah, I think you’d be ok if you’re comfortable driving in snow. This stuff is so fluffy / high ratio that I think you’d be fine. If you’re nervous you could take the “long” way on interstate 68 then down 219 to Canaan vs going up through WV. I think MD does better with the roads than WV but should be ok. It’s gonna be COLD with blowing winds that will pose hazardous at times due to blowing snow.

    Weenie'd out with this: The Allegheny mountains are in for a life-threatening Winter Storm with a wind blown 6-12" of snow and dangerously cold wind chills starting tonight into Saturday. Blowing and drifting snow will be a serious concern.

    The bottom 6-9” is a pure glacier with 4-5” of snow on top. No chance.

    Took a while for the flurries but once the legit light snow started recently, it didn’t take long for the steadier snow to start.
