  1. Enjoy your cirrus clouds this weekend while the Mid Atlantic shovels.
  2. Euro seems like a general 2-4”. Models seem locked in on that.
  3. It’s not worth discussing the NAM when its on an island by itself. The “trends” term is overused and misused around here. Every model has the area within 0.2-0.4”. 2-4” is a good forecast.
  4. This weekend’s storm started as a cutter to basically northern MN.
  5. Ha, the “worst” is 6” which is over 1/3 of climo for DC.
  6. First forecasts by NWS Pitt for Garrett/Canaan going with 4-6”.
  7. FV3 has the 0.5” line tickling DC on the southern portion of the city. 0.25” on the M/D line.
  8. Zoomed in GFS snowmap for the DC and close in suburbs people. I’d be completely happy with this.
  9. Snokokima is back!! I’ve been waiting for him to make an appearance to shit on a 2-4” event.
  10. Yep. Seems like we’ve settled on 2-4” for the area which is fantastic considering where we were a week ago. Most wrote off the whole month of January and now we’re looking at snow this weekend with multiple threat windows to track afterwards.
  11. Nice Caps win in Boston — their play reeked like the NAM at times but Holtby was a wall and the Caps got better as the game went on.
  12. Please don’t become a mini Ji. We don’t need two.
  13. “Hey the NAM is a terrible model. Hey, did I show you what the NAM just showed?”
  14. Seems like its only the NAM saying that.
  15. @C.A.P.E. wwwwooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo. You couldn't have drawn better looking panels than the weeklies.
  16. 18z has been kind. An hour until the Euro hopefully continues that.
  17. Long duration, light snow event would be my guess.
  18. That is a great map in my opinion at least looking at NOVA/DC/etc
  19. @Potvinsux Nice! I'm happy the mountains have cashed in the last few days...perfect upslope conditions and they'll do well this weekend, especially Snowshoe. I'm heading to McHenry tomorrow, can't wait. I've been watching the cameras at my house the last few days as the snow has piled up there.
  20. Through 96, the 0.5" has come north to the very S tip of PWC along I95. 0.25" is just north of DC.
