  1. Credit and reference to Chris Martz for his 10 questions for the many climate doomers in this forum: Can you answer all of them?? ➊ To the nearest tenth of a degree Celsius, what is the “correct” global mean surface temperature (GMST)? ➋ What does a “perfect” climate look like? If so, when did we have one and what was it like? Usually, activists will say “pre-industrial.” But, why? ➌ What is the “correct” amount of bad weather? How many tropical cyclones, tornadoes, thunderstorms, hailstorms, droughts, floods, heatwaves, cold waves and wildfires should there be per year globally? Please provide exact numbers and then explain why. ➍ Why do you think temperature departures from the 1850 climatic baseline mean is the sole metric which determines human welfare? Why would the climate of the Little Ice Age be preferable than today's climate? What was better about the climate in 1850 than that of 2024? Is today's climate too dangerous? If so, why? Provide data and evidence to support your reasoning. ➎ What is the “correct” atmospheric carbon dioxide level? What dry-air volume or a range of atmospheric carbon dioxide concentrations would be optimal for plant growth? Show me data and explain why. ➏ The Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) was popularized as the biggest piece of climate legislation in history. But, since it was signed into law, climate activists say climate change has only gotten worse. Why? ➐ Trillions of taxpayer dollars have been spent on so-called “climate action” over the past 35-years. When will that give us that perfect climate, and when it does how will we know? What measure? ➑ If the U.S. spends hundreds of trillions of dollars to decarbonize our economy to achieve “net zero” by the year 2050, then how much will it reduce GMST by the year 2100, assuming the climate models are accurate? Please round your answer to the nearest tenth of a degree Celsius and show your math! ➒ If you can't provide me with an answer to question eight, then here's my follow-up: If you don't know how much net zero emissions in the U.S. would reduce GMST by 2100, are we supposed to just spend all that money and see what happens? ➊⓿ Why do efforts to mitigate exclusively center on reducing carbon emissions, and ignore more effective strategies such as building weather-resilient infrastructure and enforcing stricter zoning codes? Nobody has ever answered these questions, at least not in a clear and concise manner.
  2. grasping at straws....no proof just assumptions without data
  3. What about Coatesville's obs time in July of 1934 at 8am and 8pm?
  4. Certainly possible but not proven by the written observation evidence we have....a non-issue
  5. So, I went back and looked at the time of observation temps for July 1934 and only on 1 day the 8th during the entire month was their an issue. In fact in all other 30 days the high temp the following day was higher than the 4pm observation reset. There was no TOBs impacting either the 22nd or 23rd as the high temp on those days was higher than the 4pm reading the previous day. So overall TOBs as we can clearly see had a relatively minor impact on the overall Chester County average temps in July 1934
  6. After a well below average temperature day to start July we should see a couple close to normal early July days....before the weather turns a bit unsettled as we head into the 4th holiday period. A lot of our records for today were set on a very hot day in 1901. Highs across the County were Coatesville 103 degrees / Kennett Square-Phoenixville and Westtown at 101 degrees and West Chester at 100 degrees. Other records for today across the County: Low temp 45 degrees at Devault (1988) / Rain 4.53" at Nottingham (2022)

  8. Agreed! Actually the Warwick MADIS station sits at for the county a relative lower elevation at 407 ft ASL. But they are well positioned to take full advantage of radiational cooling nights that never happen in higher spots like KMQS and West Grove. A good example was this AM where they were the chilliest spot for the low at 53 degrees with KMQS at 61 degrees
  9. Here in the Philly burbs of Chester County PA June 2023 was only good for the 15th warmest June since 1893. More interesting is 13 of the 20 (yellow highlights) warmest June's occurred prior to 1980. Back before our current warmer cycle....

  11. We finished June across Chester County with the warmest average temp 72.6 since the 73.8 average temp in June 2010. The warmest spot was of course Phoenixville at 75.2 degrees and the coolest was the 70.6 degrees at Warwick Township. All stations (16) finished with an average temperature of 73 degrees or lower with the exceptions of Phoenixville and KOQN West Chester Airport (74.5). The wettest station during June was Nottingham with 6.89" of rain -the location with the least rain was KOQN with only 1.84" Our average temperature across the county through the 1st 6 months of the year 51.1 degrees is the warmest first half of the year since the 51.6 degree average back in 2012. Overall this was the 15th warmest June on record....following last year's 8th chilliest June of record.

  13. Than we drop Phoenixville and it still makes no difference in the analysis!!
  14. Who cares about my house?? It is an insignificant non issue in the data analytics - Charlie you do get this correct??
  15. The machine based revisionist history of our climate in Chester County continues to more modern times. Just last August 2023 - NOAA/NCEI increased the average temperature by an entire 1.0 degrees to 73.1 degrees for Chester County PA from the actual average of 72.1 degrees. Why was this done? Well of the 16 current stations in the county only 2 of them.....KOQN Airport (74.2) and Phoenixville (73.7) (always our warmest stations) were above 73.1. Was there a time of observation adjustment? Poor equipment? Siting issues?? Keep in mind they cooled every single year from 1893 thru 2005 and have now warmed each and every year since 2006.....
  16. And you of course cherry pick one month out of 1,572 months of data.....
  17. Most of the County has picked up some beneficial rain overnight. Ranging from as low as 0.49" at the Coatesville Airport to as much as 1.88" down in West Grove. Southern spots were for the most part near or over 1 inch while folks in the north were closer to the 0.50" to 0.70" of rain. We start the day muggy but a sharp cold front will cross the area between the 3pm to 5pm hour with another round of possible heavy storms and t-storms. Some spots could pick up another 0.5" to 1.00" of rain. Much cooler tonight with lows into the 50's and pleasantly cool to start July tomorrow with highs struggling to escape the mid 70's in the higher spots of the County. Chester County records for today: High 103 degrees at Phoenixville (1934) / Low 46 at Devault (1988) / Rain 2.95" at Glenmoore (1973)

  19. Clouds on the increase today and a good bit warmer than yesterday with temps reaching the low to mid 80's. Rain chances increase late tonight through tomorrow. Best chances for heavier rain would be tomorrow night with a cold frontal passage. Much cooler again for Monday with temps slowly warming as we head toward July 4th. Chester County records for today: High 103 degrees at Phoenixville (1934) / Low 45 degrees at Coatesville (1988) / Rain 3.88" at West Chester (1973)

  21. The true silly part is believing that using data from outside the county being observed makes any sense at all!! I will continue to rely on the actual factual stations in the actual factual county we are observing and not rely on a machine adjusted fake number that totally discounts all of the confirming similar data validated by the NWS at the time of observation in the county of interest.
  22. Most spots dropped well down into the 50's last night with the chilliest temp the 50.9 degree low at Warwick Township. A great day on the way with low humidity as highs possibly not escaping the 70's in the higher spots in Chester County. Rain chances ramp up by tomorrow night and into Sunday before sunny and cooler again to start the new work week on Monday. Chester County records for today: High 101 degrees at West Chester (1963) / Low 47 degrees at Morgantown/Elverson (1970) / Rain 3.33" Glenmoore COOP (2006)

  24. A nice couple of days to close out the work week with near normal temps in the low 80's with lows tonight in the comfortable 50's for most spots. Rain chances increase Saturday night into Sunday and then after a cool start to next week a slow moderating trend. Chester County Records for today: High 100 degrees in Phoenixville (1943) / Low 46 also at Phoenixville (1965) / Rain 4.54" at West Chester (1938)
