  1. That man is why I became so interested in weather and wanted to be a professional MET....but alas I was not nearly smart enough for that!!
  2. Following the frontal passage this morning any flurries or squalls will end. Temperatures will fall below freezing by late morning in most areas and continue to slowly fall into the 20's in most spots by 4pm. Winds could gust as high as 45mph and cause some power outages in the usual suspect spots (like mine). Tomorrow may be our first sub-freezing day of the season with highs not reaching freezing. We start a nice warming trend over the weekend that should last through mid-week before we chill down again by later next week. We may have several rain chances Monday through Wednesday.

  4. We remain below normal through Saturday before a nice warmup gets underway on Sunday. Some snow flurries could develop later this evening. A strong cold front will sweep from west to east sometime just before rush hour tomorrow morning. Some spots could see a briefly heavy snow squall. Any squall could leave a quick coating to 1/2 inch of snow. Tomorrow will be very windy with temperatures falling from an early morning high just above freezing. Most spots will struggle to get above the freezing mark on Friday. Warmer with rain chances by next Monday morning's rush hour.

  16. There is always talk that it doesn't snow like it used to in "the old days". Welp - At least here in the philly burbs of Chester County we had quite a few relatively snowy "winters of a lifetime" since 2002-03....all of the yellow highlighted seasons are just since Y2K!! Very cyclical as always!
  17. Here in East Nantmeal the low this morning of 24.4 degrees was our coldest reading since March 22nd when we reached 23 degrees. Today has a forecast to be our coldest high temperature (34 degrees) since the 34.3 degrees back on February 17th. We look to stay cold with below normal temperatures through the 1st 9 or 10 days of December before we should see a nice warming trend by mid-month. There could be a couple snow chances - the first chance on Wednesday night and maybe additional potential toward next weekend.

  25. A nice day to take care of any last-minute prep for Thanksgiving with sunny weather and temperatures about average for late November at near 50 degrees. Today will be our last above normal temperature day for quite a while. High temperatures will fall to the mid 40's tomorrow and then to the 30's by day and low 20's at night for much of the next week. Our only rain opportunity over the next week arrives by dawn tomorrow and should be exiting stage right by early afternoon. We could see around 0.50" of rain from this event.
