It looks like some spots across Southern Chester County picked up some rain earlier this AM. Up here in East Nantmeal nothing so far. There will continue to be a slight chance of some pop up storms today with a better shot by tomorrow evening. Wednesday and Thursday we look to warm into the upper 80's both days. In looking ahead they look to be the warmest days through at least July 19th. A climate note of interest - here in East Nantmeal I have now not recorded a 90 degree or higher reading in more than 2 years. The last above 90 degree day was on June 30th, 2021. I did record one day last summer on July 23rd that reached 89.7 - so we round that up and call it a 90 degree day. I know many spots in the county especially southern and lower spots did reach the 90 degree mark back on June 2nd - however we could do no higher than 88.8 here in East Nantmeal. Records for today: High 102 (1966) / Low 47 (1929) / Rain 3.19" (1978)

We ended June 2023 as the 9th coldest and 12th wettest month of June across over 130 years of Chester County PA records. The coldest June was the 65.2 back in 1907 - we ended this month at 66.1. Our wettest June was the 12.18" that fell in 1938 - we ended this month at 7.49" of rain. Clouds will be on the increase late today with showers chances ramping up by Sunday morning/ Showers some possibly heavy look likely tomorrow into Monday with Sun returning by Independence day. Records for today High 103 (1901) / Low 43 (1952) / Rain 2.39" (1984)

Through yesterday this is now the coldest June in Chester County since way back in 1974. More impressive is not counting today (which should be a rare above average day) this is the 7th coldest June in 130 years of local weather records! We should finish out the month with some hazy sun (thanks Canada) and temps in the low 80's today. A little cooler tomorrow to start out July and then rain chances increase by Saturday night. Records for today: High 98 (1959) / Low 47 (1919) / Rain 2.29" (1921)

I briefly worked there when my company JNJ/Centocor moved there...

Nice to see the sun to start today but clouds and showers will again be on the increase by late today. Any storms could have some heavy rain. Tomorrow storms and possibly some severe ones are likely especially tomorrow afternoon and night. It stays wet through Wednesday and we again turn cooler by that evening. Less chances of rain to end out the work week. We have received 4.02" of rain in the last 13 days. Records for today: High 98 (1943) / Low 46 (1979) / Rain 1.20" (1912)

We have picked up 0.64" of rain since yesterday with 0.03" since midnight here in East Nantmeal. Humdity has really ramped up since yesterday - current dew point is 70 degrees which is uncomfortable. More rain is currently moving in from the west and we could see a couple more rounds of showers and t-storms during the rest of the day today. Our unsettled and rainy pattern continues for the upcoming week the least wet day looks like tomorrow. Tomorrow looks like the only chance of an above normal temp day before we head back to below normal temps for the rest of the week. Records for today: High 96 (1894) / Low 41 (1992) / Rain 3.00" (1969)

We indeed set a record low maximum temperature yesterday of 64.9 degrees. This made yesterday the lowest high temperature in Chester County history since records began back in 1888. An impressive 19 of the 22 days so far in June have averaged below normal temperatures. In fact overall so far this month this is the 7th coldest June in our history. It is also the coldest June in 20 years as 2003 was our 6th coldest June to date. We did not receive any measurable rain yesterday but that should change by this afternoon and evening. We should see some heavy rain at times thru later tomorrow afternoon. A little less likely to see rain on Sunday before rain chances increase again by Monday. Records for today: High 97 (1921) / Low 42 (1940) / Rain 3.75" (1972)

We picked up 0.15" of rain in East Nantmeal with greater amounts to the south and east of here last evening. Today should see a general lull in the rain with only a few scattered showers. It looks like steadier rain moves back in late tonight and tomorrow. Our unseasonably chilly days continue - in fact today has a chance to set a new record low maximum temperature. The current record is 65 degrees set way back in 1915. It will turn warmer and much more humid by tomorrow PM...with rain chances or probabilities continued for much of the next full week! Records for today: High 97 (1921) / Low 42 (1940) / Rain 3.75" (1972)
