    Obviously I don't want to see others grieve. But from a weather standpoint I find stuff like that fascinating. I didn't get into this field because of Partly sunny and 80F. All of us who are mets got into this because we find weather fascinating and that typically equates to something that struck awe in us. Many including myself did it mostly for predicting winter weather....but many also love to see what mother nature can do.

    Meh rain is boring. Unless you had some terrific flooding like VT did or Leominster, MA on a local scale. We had a tornado in town, but I still find the overall year boring. Very little SVR this summer aside from brief spin ups and up by Acton-Andover MA. New England as a whole was quiet in that dept.

    After Halloween guidance goes from BN to near N into the 10th or so. No real mild wx after Sunday. But early Novie is not really a cold time of year with avg highs in 50s.

    I guess if that front is slow to move off and the upper level flow parallels it there could be something...but seems low chance at the moment.

    All time forecast fail.

    Nothing near here, but a spectacular intensity forecast fail for Hurricane Otis in the EPAC. Not sure I’ve seen anything like it. From barely recognized on globals yesterday to a cat 5 forecasted. Even NHC caught with pants down.

    Nothing exciting to me so it really isn’t worth the discussion. Maybe a good cold shot Halloween aftn into Thursday or so.

    I don’t know Kev, I looked at the EPS and it didn’t look very warm. I mean it’s early November lol. You expect deep winter to set in?

    I used to hear a lot of that. Crappy skiing conditions. Probably from the cutters lol.

    We’ve also been disproportionately warm compared to many other areas of the country as well. No doubt a CC signal in the background, but there’s definitely some short term fluctuations that are enhancing the background signal compared to the Plains for example.

    Missed the good stretch ( exception of 94-95) from 92-96. Probably don't recall that shitty 97-00 seasons luckily. 98-99 was ok where you are. Then you became a burgeoning weenie after '02 I bet when you probably started to remember more events/seasons as you got older. No wonder you get cranky. Growing up during the atmospheric and sports euphoria. Welcome back to our childhood. No snow and loserville.
