  1. Yes. I felt the same. I remember hearing it was snowing already Friday aftn.
  2. I guess it could be worse (compare HFD area to TOL), but man did that suck. People have to understand the circumstances too. We were all coming off the horrific late 80s early 90s period. My folks relentlessly beating into my head how winters aren't what they used to be. Tremendous jealousy to see and hear about the winters of the 60s and 70s. Now the anticipation of one of the all timers you have seen so far. NWS, parents, and OCMS all disrobing from NNE to the canal. You wake up to paste and it's pounding. Now at 9a visibility increases and the temp is 33 with shit flakes and drizzle. You think it's temporary..some sort of a crazy lull or dryslot. This can't be happening right? Hours later that gut punch of a feeling...wanting to puke, cry, and put someone through a wall feeling of pure disappointment. I seriously want to vomit as I type this because I would never wish that feeling on anybody. Not even Kevin.
  3. I've been less upset at breaks up with long term relationships compared to that storm. What a rip your heart out event that was for me. All the hype from media, NWS, my parents telling me this would be a storm they had growing up etc. And watching 6" of paste melt while 6 miles NW had 18"
  4. And then miraculously surprised when it occurs?
  5. I was going by the stations on weatherunderground, but I'm sure some big totals existed in a narrow area.
  6. Didn’t Tblizz say he was heading that way?
  7. Yep. He cracks me up. The classic bitter Boston fan.
  8. Rich must be doing bank to pay the salary. That’s nuts. But radio is just not a good business right now except for very successful stations like 98.5. I listen to them when I’m in the car. T&R are goofs and I appreciate the laughs. I don’t always agree with Felger and Mazz, but appreciate the takes. Zo and Bertrand are good too….at least Zolak knows football.
  9. Stations near or over 4” there so definitely localized higher amounts.
  10. Euro with the phantom storm early next week. We’ll see about that I guess. Until then we mild and stein.
  11. .21 he got me for a parting shot before cold season.
  12. LOL. That is classic Ray though. He gets 4” less and the US GOVT had to change nuclear security codes in response. I think Plympton had like 12” or something like that.
  13. Lmao I had the same thought and almost posted that image. Didn’t he have like 6-7” from it?
  14. That was a horrific event and I share Jerry’s hatred for it.
  15. Yeah I flipped to rain in that one, but first two parts where sneaky good. It was a man pack for awhile.
  16. I actually got briefly porked where I am as the CF came west in between here and Quincy. I met a friend in Weymouth and it was raining here. Flipped back about an hour later. I was in Dorchester then and they got smoked.
  17. Although I’d want the WOR folk getting something. Need to find a way to get Tolland porked.
  18. The rare combo where we had what we excel in. I had the CJ and you had the CF.
  19. Yeah that works. Dim sun in Tolland with the 1/4” of fluff melting while we plow out east.
  20. It’s on the calendar. Hopefully we can track the 0C isotherm at 850 through Tolland.
