It is, but the thermo profile given the low positions from the surface on up are really strange. But prior to these solutions, the cold was evaporating, so I get that part.

But I honestly cannot recall a setup like the NAM or even RGEM shows. Doesn't mean it's impossible, but there's probably a reason why. I can see why it has it, but maybe it's a bit embellished.
We'll see what the GFS does.
The soundings look a bit cooler vs what the ptype shows, although it could be a lack of vertical layers on the sounding. But anyways, another bizarre look.
The 50mb vortex is stretched, but doesn't really split. Honestly I could care less what it does. Having it stretched where it is probably helps deliver the cross polar flow.
