    Ensembles look jacked in the long range. Pretty sure my initial thoughts a few weeks ago will be tossed.

    On Black Friday we lose some of the confluence so even with the gfs more S, the airmass is more marginal, especially near the coast. Euro maybe has some better confluence initially, but the s/w coming across the Midwest is stronger. EPS seems to favor deeper interior too. Gonna need the airmass behind these systems I think for coastal areas and even inland in SNE perhaps. Still a ways away.

    At the airport coming back from vacation so looking at stuff now finally. Man would love to take advantage of this look into early December.

    Also the current MJO wave is not currently strong, so yeah could easily get overpowered.

    EPS looks great. Weeklies push the not so favorable look to mid month. I’m inclined to toss weeklies as MJO goes more favorable too. But I’m still nervous it could break down. But I’ll say this, that ensemble look is not what I expected.

    It starts getting into favorable zones which maybe helps that Bering sea ridge. But yeah good illustration there of the PAC jet extending, but not across the entire ocean like we’ve seen before.

    Actually MJO going into phase 6 in December. That’s encouraging to see. Hopefully not a blip.

    I hope your forecast and my December shit period fail miserably.

    Yeah I do like seeing that. Kind of a stable look to it. Hopefully whatever forcing is there stalls and keeps that jet west based in the Pacific. I’m in vacation so I haven’t dug deep into this stuff, but so far so good. But yeah still a EPOhNo risk if s/w’s dig too far west.

    I still like the east based -EPO look. That hasn’t disappeared. Starts literally last day or so of November. I’m not putting effort into anything after Thanksgiving.
