Yeah, it definitely has a tendency to hasten upscale growth far too quickly. They might hold off on a moderate till day one though given the uncertainty in timing and to see how the morning MCS evolves.

Very bad day for MI unfortunately with 232 new deaths reported, I wonder if it's due to a lag in weekend reporting. I think there's an increase pretty much everywhere every Tuesday and Wednesday.

TDS with the storm due east of Mobile, though it was more defined a few scans ago.

Not hitting anything, regardless of how strong the tornado is there needs to be something in its path to loft debris.

While wind profiles look good overnight on the mesoscale models, they've been so far off till now that it's hard to know for sure.

The tornado warned storm in Western Alabama has the strongest rotation of any storm so far today, though it doesn't look like it'll go through much for now.

The NYC gust bet would've been a good one if it was only for central park, but it's gutsy to bet against JFK and LGA not gusting to 50, JFK has gusted past 50 in much more mundane storms.
