  1. They were right on the mark for my area...6”! Nice call!!
  2. Hey Kamu! Sorry don’t visit/post much in this forum anymore...Buckingham (Bucks County) is up near Peddlers Village/New Hope. The environs feel like New England, so short of moving there we settled on Buckingham! Hope all’s well!
  3. Buckingham PA - 11:30pm Only ~15min of rain at very beginning of storm...nothing but light to heavy- snow since 4pm! Looking like ~4”...another reason to be happy we moved “Up North”, a couple months ago, from Ambler (Three Tuns) PA!! 1:00am update: SN+ past 2 hours up to 6”!
  4. He used to do “weather world” on pbs out of state college.
  5. I found it poor-form that channel 6 “accuweather” said nothing (that I saw) about his retirement!!!
  6. Enjoy folks....(so jealous!!) one of these days my wife will let me buy that little cottage on the Penobscott in Bayview ME
  7. Hey now... Perhaps this will straighten things out (at NBC10): http://www.nbcphiladelphia.com/weather/stories/Tammie-Souza-NBC10-Meteorologist-Weather-Forecast--414933813.html
  8. What a total joke nbc10 weather has become, it had always been my favorite dating back to the Herb Clarke years (with the exception of Jim obriens years at 6)....6abc now blows them away with their analysis and graphics and, mostly, a great team of Cecily, Adam and Chris Sauers!!! And, to make matters worse the nbc10 "team" is really amateurish, with the exception of glen who I believe has been deminshed this winter to the least common denominator!! He actually seemed giddy tonight talking about the pending warm weather....he did at least show the horrid 10 day (lol)...c'mon glen don't kowtow to the non winter weather folks....PLEASE!!!
  9. Yup!!! why so little air time...he reminds me of how Larry Cosgrove used to do the tv weather....come on 6ABC, throw Chris a much deserved bone!!!
  10. My biggest question is why the hell isn't Chris Sauers on 6 more often... he offers more analysis than any other tv met I've ever seen and is clearly under utilized!!! Channel 10 needs him really badly at this point!!
  11. Gotcha....he did allude to that in his latest newsletter, he is primarily a synopstician and I'm sure the models have been befuddling him (along with the rest of us)!!!
  12. Not sure what you read Ralph but, As I suspected...his latest thoughts sound pretty optimistic for us!! https://groups.google.com/forum/m/#!topic/weatheramerica/MzsJ1WZu4qU https://groups.google.com/forum/m/#!topic/weatheramerica/oSecNhtPNOE
  13. Larry is great and I'm very anxious to read his updated thoughts but Haven't seen his Saturday updates posted to google groups yet. It seems there is still a lot of snow potential (some small some bigger) over the next several weeks!!! I'm feeling very good about at least up to midFebruary!!
  14. ^^^^ per my previous post, Larry C speaks clearly about upcoming potential as did C Tynan on a live webcast I just viewed.... i also need to say what a nice job channel 6 does with their weather spots in providing some longer range analysis (particularly in comparison to the increased dribble that channel 10 provides with little more than discussing countless temperature ranges, and now rarely shows their 10 day extended)! I know other weather enthusiasts here and elsewhere agree and I post this with hopes that both outlets will "see" it and continue/adjust there coverage as the case may be!

  16. I love to "read" JBs latest but am I the only one who needs a special mail-away decoder ring to decipher his phraseology? "Drink more Ovaltine!"
  17. Realize this is your opinion but tread lightly...
  18. You are absolutely correct...exactly what I told my wife (as I was grumbling at their weather spot the other night)
  19. ^^^^^^ I have to say, that is pretty well said...too much back-patting as I see it!! With today's graphic packages it would have been Very easy to plot all the NWS observed total reports, create a smoothed color graphic and overlay (even his last call) so we could judge ourselves how he did (which in most cases was likely very good)!! BTW... what's the "feels-like" temp?
  20. So true... and I believe Larry Cosgrove was/is one of the best modern day synopticians! Sadly he was "chased" from (the predecessor to) this board years ago, not by constructive criticism/questioning, but by cruel comments!
  21. And, once again.... NO "10 day" from Glenn at 11pm
