  1. Wednesday night was supposed to be the show but I think most of you folks were under clouds⁉️
  2. Easily mounted on shed with antenna mast and two mounting brackets from Amazon!
  3. Ditto... As I mentioned previously, I’ve had one for about a month now and love it!!! The rain is a bit high so far but they have a system where it adjusts about 24 hours later and with its AI it calibrates so within a couple of months apparently becomes increasingly accurate and will deliver forecasts specific to your back yard. Amazingly cool system and they’re doing some type of BOGO now! I’m waiting til the off the grid version is released to buy another one for my Maine home!
  4. Thanks for the tips... Settling on it in mid-November, I’ll be going crazy waiting til I can open it back up in April!
  5. It’s very cool with great reviews and so simple...Reviews are outstanding! The solar/cellular version won’t be available til Spring.
  6. Think I’ve found my answer to a solar/cellular weather station (cool unit): https://weatherflow.com/tempest-weather-system/ And... Solar/cellular camera: https://m.reolink.com/product/reolink-go-pt/?jumpId=faq-functions&triggerId=faq-data#overview
  7. Thanks... LOL...YEP...with the craziness of the world I figured why not really go for it if I’m going to Maine...Only about 1.5 hrs south of Canada!

  9. Doesn’t look like they make a solar cellular version?
  10. After years of searching, I’ve finally found (and purchased) my dream cottage in Harrington, Maine! It’s “off the grid” so now I need help finding the best solar cellular weather station and solar cellular security camera so I can keep tabs on things remotely when I’m not there! Thank you for any thoughts you have!
  11. Thanks... Should be a blast... Was forced into “disaster recovery mode” after some recent painful winters around here!

  14. Hey now... Perhaps this will straighten things out (at NBC10): http://www.nbcphiladelphia.com/weather/stories/Tammie-Souza-NBC10-Meteorologist-Weather-Forecast--414933813.html
  15. What a total joke nbc10 weather has become, it had always been my favorite dating back to the Herb Clarke years (with the exception of Jim obriens years at 6)....6abc now blows them away with their analysis and graphics and, mostly, a great team of Cecily, Adam and Chris Sauers!!! And, to make matters worse the nbc10 "team" is really amateurish, with the exception of glen who I believe has been deminshed this winter to the least common denominator!! He actually seemed giddy tonight talking about the pending warm weather....he did at least show the horrid 10 day (lol)...c'mon glen don't kowtow to the non winter weather folks....PLEASE!!!
  16. Yup!!! why so little air time...he reminds me of how Larry Cosgrove used to do the tv weather....come on 6ABC, throw Chris a much deserved bone!!!
  17. My biggest question is why the hell isn't Chris Sauers on 6 more often... he offers more analysis than any other tv met I've ever seen and is clearly under utilized!!! Channel 10 needs him really badly at this point!!
  18. Gotcha....he did allude to that in his latest newsletter, he is primarily a synopstician and I'm sure the models have been befuddling him (along with the rest of us)!!!
  19. Not sure what you read Ralph but, As I suspected...his latest thoughts sound pretty optimistic for us!! https://groups.google.com/forum/m/#!topic/weatheramerica/MzsJ1WZu4qU https://groups.google.com/forum/m/#!topic/weatheramerica/oSecNhtPNOE
  20. Larry is great and I'm very anxious to read his updated thoughts but Haven't seen his Saturday updates posted to google groups yet. It seems there is still a lot of snow potential (some small some bigger) over the next several weeks!!! I'm feeling very good about at least up to midFebruary!!
  21. ^^^^ per my previous post, Larry C speaks clearly about upcoming potential as did C Tynan on a live webcast I just viewed.... i also need to say what a nice job channel 6 does with their weather spots in providing some longer range analysis (particularly in comparison to the increased dribble that channel 10 provides with little more than discussing countless temperature ranges, and now rarely shows their 10 day extended)! I know other weather enthusiasts here and elsewhere agree and I post this with hopes that both outlets will "see" it and continue/adjust there coverage as the case may be!

  23. I love to "read" JBs latest but am I the only one who needs a special mail-away decoder ring to decipher his phraseology? "Drink more Ovaltine!"
