  1. Hey Kamu! Sadly, yes…Cabin is off-the-grid with minimal heat, so we need to shut it down for the winter, but I “live there” during snowstorms via my Starlink satellite internet, Blink cameras and Tempest weather station (-1.3° early Tuesday AM)!
  2. Down East, Maine cabin: Despite blizzard conditions not materializing, we did end up with ~12” (~20”ytd from 4 “significant” events…many dusting type events not included)!

  4. Ended up with ~10” but strong winds never materialized so no Blizzard conditions! Solar, Snow-cameras and Tempest weather station worked perfectly... Wish I could say the same for my Elon Musk’s Starlink satellite internet which experienced two major global failures today (each over an hour long) so I watched the snow fly between internet loss!
  5. I’m stuck down here in Bucks County, PA (at my winter home-base) with Extremely light flakes @ 12:45am... Should have taken that 10 hour road-trip to my coastal Down East Maine cabin...I’ll have to live this storm through my cabin cams!
  6. So I’ve heard... Two biggest issues are the 9 mile (one way in/one way out) dense forest road leading to our place, most of which is dirt with several steep hills, and, moreover, no running water once we blow out plumbing to protect against freeze up since house sits on pilings! With my cameras and Tempest weather station, I’ll, at least, be able to post observations and rough snow accumulations!
  7. Got a pretty good cast iron LP but even last April we woke up to 44° in the “camp”! Knowing that a Gulph of Maine nor’easter will no doubt tempt me for a 10 hour road trip north! Good luck with your search...Nothing like the scenery/serenity up this way!
  8. Wish we could...Besides the 6 month on/6 months off “deal” with my wife, we have to shut the plumbing down and the road in doesn’t get plowed down our way, and with all the tall pines, the risk of getting stranded is higher than she wants to deal with...I’ll have to “live it” via my cameras...Hopefully one upcoming winter we’ll “bend the rules”!?!
  9. Heading home a week from today after arriving mid-April ...It’s been everything and more than my wife and I expected! Solar, Elon Musk’s Starlink Internet, Tempest and Blink cameras installed ready for some winter weather remote viewing! Just south of last night’s aurora borealis but we did have this beautiful Sundog this evening (just left of center)‼️
  10. The final snow”fall” for winter 2020-21‼️
  11. Not to fear... They usually reroute flights in to Denver to Tijuana Mexico‼️
  12. Works...Thanks‼️ Looking SW Looking NE
  13. Pretty crazy as the back yard gets a good dose of southern sun... Picked the right house in the right location when we moved up here in late 2018... Every other home I’ve ever owned was ALWAYS the first to melt which always pissed me off‼️
  14. Thanks but says I’ve only used 3%...LOL⁉️
  15. Get this message but I did post them at PhillyWx...
  16. Annoyingly this site doesn’t allow me to post the photos of my yard that I just took... I’ll post them at PhillyWx if you want to see them... My property has anywhere from very small green patches up to as much as 5” in shaded (untouched snow) areas‼️
  17. Couldn’t believe how much less snow was around today as I trekked from my home in Buckingham south on 202 toward Montgomeryville and then up lower state road/limekiln pike into Horsham‼️
  18. REALLY⁉️ BUCKINGHAM, PA: Hi 45° low 32° With anywhere from 3 - 5” of snow cover on 100% of the lawn (even south side)...Very impressive to say the least!
