Yeah, it's like that out here. Definitely different. Even the thunderstorms. The monsoon storms will often times move north to south or east to west. They form over the mountains and then get drawn down into the desert by the intense heat. Thanks! I can't wait to do Schnebly Hill and Broken Arrow in Sedona. The scenery will be fantastic! There's literally hundreds, if not thousands, of free trails out here due to the amount of free public land.

Looking like great weekend coming up for me... Saturday Sunny, with a high near 100. East northeast wind 5 to 10 mph becoming southwest in the afternoon. Saturday Night Mostly clear, with a low around 68. West wind 5 to 10 mph becoming north after midnight. Sunday Sunny, with a high near 103. East northeast wind 5 to 10 mph becoming west southwest in the afternoon.

Louisiana has always been bad, but the section he's talking about on I-17, the top layer of blacktop has peeled off of the concrete base in big sheets for about 30 miles. It's an incredibly rough ride. So bad that ADOT temporarily dropped the speed limit 10 mph.

I go up the there at least once a week. You should feel that section in a tractor trailer. But yes, Arizona roads (outside of Phoenix) are in much worse shape than in PA.

Meanwhile...this Thursday and Friday the NWS is indicating 80s for nearly everyone.

West wind around 5 mph becoming northeast after midnight. Tuesday Sunny, with a high near 99. Breezy, with an east northeast wind 5 to 15 mph becoming southwest in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 20 mph.

Front blew through Tamaqua. 59 now at 6pm per my backyard station.

Different region and climate, but I had a good grass whitening frost a few years ago on Memorial Day morning up in Tamaqua.
