  1. Yup. My mom's house has one. Did any houses in Florida have the roof top set up, or is it strictly a desert thing?
  2. Unless it's made of twigs... That was sarcasm, too.
  3. It never fails. Everytime there's snow in the forecast for Flagstaff, dispatch sends me up there...
  4. This is a cold and snow based weather board in general. Not sure why you're surprised. I, however, am a warmanista and despise winter in general...unless an historic storm is in the offing.
  5. So how wet has it been in Arizona? Year to date, the PWS a couple blocks from my house has received 4.06" of precipitation. Average annual precip is 7.75", so we've already passed the halfway point to our annual average...in less than three months.
  6. I saw that a lot, where it would be 40 in Tamaqua (800ft) and pushing 60 in Hazleton (1,700ft).
  7. Here's a pic from today. It's the I-10 Salt River crossing near Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport. It's a normally dry river.
  8. And this for me, which is totally absurd. Normal is 80, and these temps are actually slightly below average even for late December/early January.
  9. From what I'm hearing, Colorado had a decent winter, but for Lake Powell and Lake Mead it would take 10 years of good winters to bring them up to 70 to 80 percent capacity.
  10. Just think. I single handedly ended the drought out here. The Salt River reservoirs are so full that they are doing dam releases and making the normally dry river bed through Phoenix look like the Susquehanna.
  11. Nickel and dime? Some of you guys didn't even get the .9 that the gas stations show on their signs... When Tucson, AZ has more seasonal snow than PHL, something's wrong.
  12. And what's amazing is that it's been well below normal out here in Phoenix about 75% of all days since November 5th. I was hoping to revel (and gloat to friends/family) about the nice winter weather, and how I was (not) missing all the snow and cold back east. That worked out well...
  13. Flag had about 3 ft on the ground a week ago, but it's been warm, so I suppose it's been whittled down fairly significantly.
  14. I know for the season that they got more than Flagstaff. As for what's currently on the ground, I couldn't tell you.
  15. Wife said it was snowing in Tamaqua. Sounds like a car topper at this point, though. School was on a 2 hour delay, but then closed outright. Not sure why.
  16. It can happen. Right now, Tucson has more than Philly.
  17. If I were still in Tamaqua, it would take me 5 minutes to get to the watch area in Carbon County...
  18. Who's up for a snownado??? Pretty cool video of one here... https://fb.watch/jcianfrWmb/
  19. Apparently Tamaqua is getting the goods tonight...
  20. Not saying you are wrong, but I've seen this scenario with my own eyes. Coming down off the Blue Mountain on 309 into the Lehigh Valley you can see, off to the right, the entire Valley from west of Fogelsville to Bethlehem. A few years back, the eastern half (toward Bethlehem) was white, and the western half was brown.
